I would hope there are too many explosions when a Galactic War is going on with a fleet of colossal machines trying to wipe out the Galaxy.
As for Shep's quote it makes perfect sense. It's not exactly a conventional war when one side is near invunerable to attack. Epic battle plans aren't going to work without some means of clear victory and that's no where to be seen at the start of ME3. Shep's advice is basically "We can't do anything right now against them. All we can do is try to survive or die trying."

Trailers usually use dailogue completely out of context. It's the same as the "We fight or we die, that's the plan." Horribly cringe worthy without the context in which it is said, I hope...GodWood wrote...

Seeing that the trailers at that point focused on the council, it's probably part of a response to council bickering and inactivity.

Explosions are a given in a galactic war. The problem is that's all the trailer is.Balek-Vriege wrote...

Shepard's advice is terrible. The best way to survive is through strategy and tactics, not just winging it and hoping for the best.As for Shep's quote it makes perfect sense. Yup. "The Citadel? The fights here." *Facepalm* There should be different dialogue options for both of those moments but I doubt it.Random Jerkface wrote...

I really liked that line. I think it said a lot about the character that her first instinct was just to grab a weapon and get stuck in.

Yeah, it's not like Shepard is psychotically irrational about it and unwilling to go at all. I think it's a natural reaction for a soldier to not want to leave those they're sworn to protect behind knowing (and seeing) that they're currently getting roflstomped, even if they probably know that's the smart thing to do (and which Shep of course eventually does do).

why is it that mshep still has his full military look as a default while femshep looks as if she said f-it i want to grow my hair long and wear lots of makeup? its almost like shes going well since i'm a soldier and soldiers must look pretty i'll just wear makeup.

The old default femshep is still in the game as one of the presets.Fleshdress wrote...
Erm, I am pretty sure they let people vote on what femshep they wanted to see and that one won. So... really the fans wanted her to grow her hair and put makeup on, not femshep or Bioware. I love her default hair. I hope it's useable, I am not really fond of the new hair in the demo, yet. eh.

No the dude is a sexist, i think he prefers his females making him a sandwich than holding a gun and blowing crap up. Plus this is the BSN where everyone complains about everything, cant even post a simple thread without the users tearing you a new one. Ive only seen a handful of users on the BSN who are actually respectful about others opinions whether that opinion is riduculious or not.

I finally bothered to watch it. First, Hale sounds tolerable now. Second, she looks like a new bimbo doll because they needed to make the new ****** model prettier. Third, I was happy to see Miranda and Jacob still loyal to Shepard, and happy to see Samara.
So, I don't care that its about a Red Head, I was just happy to see more of the game.
It's all personal preference.
I honestly think Hale is better than Meer in most respects. For some weird reason I can't relate to Male Shepard even though I'm a man.
I find some of Meer's deliver of lines incredibly annoying like the dialogue leading up to the sex scene with Liara in Mass Effect 1 where he sounds like a desperate, dirty old man begging for sex, and their reunion scene in Lair of the Shadow Broker where they sounded like they were talking on the phone.
Where Hale made the dialogue in the first game caring, sensual, funny, and she like she was curious about it, and in Lair of the Shadow Broker she made it funny, sexy, and caring. It also sounded like they were in the same room.
IMHO Hale and Ali Hillis (the voice actor for Liara) have a great natural chemistry. While Meer and Hillis don't have that chemistry. I will say that IMHO Meer has better chemistry with the voice actor for Ash, than Hale does. I can see Male Shepard and Ash as lovers (or even married) not so much with Hale. I think that they would be friends but nothing more.
Plus IMHO Hale can deliver lines in such a way that become funny and memorable like the line from ME1 "We gonna need bigger guns." when she says that makes it a bad *** line, where Meer's deliver falls flat.

I suppose to each their own. In RL my least favorite look is freckles and red hair, so I suppose it makes sense I don't like it in the game
I just don't understand how the rarest of all hair colors ended up winning.
Will red hair even still exist that far in the future, seeing as how it's recessive?
If only we could customize the default Shepards. Oh well, hopefully it won't bother me since I'm finally getting the hang of making appealing female character faces, so perhaps it won't be an issue.
