I just played the demo as a vanguard. Since I don't usually play shooters on consoles (I reserve the Xbox 360 for sports games), I played on the casual setting. My thoughts:
The goodI like the environmental audio a lot. I want to congratulate Rob Blake and his team. Even on a crappy audio setup I heard they did a fantastic job. I have a better sound system hooked to my PC so I'm looking forward to playing the demo again.
The music is naturally also great.
Combat and movement is for the most part an improvement over ME2.
Squadmates aren't idiots anymore. Then don't stand on top of cover or at least they didn't in my brief play session.
The badMordin sounds wrong. The voice is alright but the acting is not as good. Mordin lost his signature sniff, which is a mistake on both the actor's and the voice director's part. I ask BioWare to please put more effort in getting Beattie back even if they have to include his performance in a post-game patch. I'm even willing to donate some money if that's the issue. He just doesn't sound or feel like Mordin to me and I really don't give a crap about the ME3 Mordin as a character.
The armor and clothing textures are just as low res as in ME2 on the PC. I truly hope the PC version won't have a direct copy/paste of the same texture. It's not that bad when you don't sit right in front of the screen, but my PC monitor is within an arm's reach and I see all the details.
While I listed the combat movements as a positive, it doesn't always work flawlessly. Sometimes Shepard rolls when I want him to take cover.
