Shoes...
They no longer look like platform shoes. I enjoy this.
Its the little things, isn't it?
The demo has gotten me even more excited for ME3, and I didn't think that was even possible.
I enjoyed every aspect of it. The cutscenes are brilliant IMO. I got chills during the Defense Committee scene when everyone was watching the live feeds, and the explosion.
After seeing the ending from the escape earth gameplay I didn't think I'd get choked up, but actually playing it with the music, atmosphere, and the context of the situation, I was moved. I can't wait for the entire experience!

Am I just being paranoid or did BW change him for some reason?

Has anyone figured out how to "fast-slide" over cover? I've done it a few times without knowing exactly how.

Yeah, it's a pimp slap with an electric double-bladed omni-blade.LawRecordings wrote...
Can someone comment on infiltrator heavy melee? Is it like the soldier and just an omni blade stab? I've seen a screenshot that looks like it has some kind of electric slap animation, as opposed to a stab. Would really appreciate an animated gif showing the inflitrator heavy melee!

Not sure if anyone mentioned this, but the grab over cover melee attack is not a universal thing; I tried it on my vanguard and she biotic falco punched a mook.
There's gotta be a trick to that...if you play as a Soldier you'll Omni-blade the guy without pulling him over, too.
No I meant my vanguard grabbed the guy over, like the animation still played, but did not use an omni blade. She used her biotic paunch.

Playing the demo now, it doesn't feel mass effect to me, shooting seems sounds wierd and I can use throw about 15. Times in one minute. Idk maybe im brings **** but im not liking the changes so far. Kinda feel like whatever EA gets there hands on they destroy by trying to make it too mainstream for all newcomers.
I believe the way it works is the heavier your guns/armor are, the less often you can use those powers.

I read in another forum that ME 3 has no autoheal function like ME 2. Is this correct?
Not quite.
Shields work like ME2, but once down to health, you have five smaller health bars, which will recharge if not fully depleted. If one does get fully depleted, it does not recharge, and you move on to the next health bar.

Incinerate has around a 3 second cooldown in the Earth part when you only have one weapon.
It has a 12 second cooldown (!) on Sur'Kesh.
But, Incinerate is damn powerful now.

The more weight you carry the longer it takes for the cooldown on the powers to come up.

Double tap A.
There seems to be two different animations for jumping over cover. The first I got by double-tapping A, which made Shepard jump over at normal speed. The second had Shepard jump over cover at his running pace.
I'm not sure how to do the latter.

I'm very pleased at the fact that squadies feel useful now. ME2 they were only good for powers, but now as I watch the battlefield I notice Liara going around and capping people to death. XD
Agreed. This might be my favorite improvment in the combat. It reminds me of ME1 when Ashley would constantly steal my kills.

Feels good to finally have some fire support.
ME2 I often felt obligated to be a soldier becuase everyone else either had incredibly weak weapons or they couldn't hit a thing. I think it was more along the lines of them being super accurate but being very nerfed in ME2.

Oh, yeah...well that makes sense, because Vanguards don't have omni-blades. They'd pull them over cover and do whatever their heavy melee thing is. I thought you meant they couldn't pull them out of cover, that they just heavy meleed insted. I couldn't get my Soldier or Infiltrator to pull people out of cover, though...will have to work on it.

It was exactly this. In ME1 I just let my squadmates do whatever, and the sheer volume of fire meant they were effective. In ME2 I had to micromanage to get them to do anything worthwhile.
