What's up with that?

Are we positive Wrex is... Wrex? Some of his lines still sound off to me, like it's Wreav or something.
It might be possible some of the lines are mixed up. I'd imagine Wreav or another krogan would take Wrex's place if he died in ME1. Some of the lines didn't sound like Wrex's voice...you're not the only one who noticed.

Well, I'm 'glad' to hear that. Some of them do, some of them don't. It's rather disorienting.

Oh, I dunno if anyone else noticed this, but I played an infiltrator through the demo, and during Surkesh there wasnt a sniper rifle in the weapon selection. Obviously there will be one in the final game but it was just a suprise
"Oh i'll open the weapon wheel and get my trusty sni...WHAT?"

I pretty much did the exact same thing. I was like, "Welp, let's pull up the weapon wheel here and get my - OH MY GOD WHERE IS IT??? What the...shotgun?" *Shrugs, takes the Mattock and goes anyway*
We also had 4 weapons no matter what class we were. It won't be like that in-game...only 3 for Infiltrators.

I don't think all the sliders are the same. I just decided to do mine from the ground up...I pretty much have her facial proportions and which lip/eyecolor/haircolor/style memorized anyway.

Good stuff:
- Character customisation. Seemed easier (much easier) to create a FemShep without a problem case of frogface/fishlips. This is very very good, Bio. Several of my ladies will be enjoying a facelift. I do get what some people have said about a certain 'plasticky' look to the Shepard models in the CC menu. There's a shininess to them, particularly about the eyes and hair, that is a little odd.
- Gameplay. Felt instantly familiar and .. er ... Mass Effecty (I believe that's the technical term) while being faster and less clumsy than ME2. AI leaps and bounds better. Good variety of enemies, at least one guy rolled away from a biotic attack (nice), and I shot someone else's head clean off! That's just the kind of bloodthirsty violence I want in my video games, thankyou very much. Guardians are good (remind of of the riot-shielded mercs in Uncharted). I liked that health doesn't completely recover after a few secs in cover, and I love that you get XP for collecting extra medigel instead of creds, it felt like a reward for using tactics and all that. Oh, and it's great that xp is awarded throughout the mission, rather than just at the end. The gameplay felt (imo, obviously) like a decent mix between ME1 and ME2.
- Looting. Was very pleased to be picking up upgrades here and there, rather than just creds and the odd bit of 'special' research tech or whatever. Lots more of this please!
- Whoever replaced Michael Beattie as Mordin was good. Not 100% with all the mannerisms etc, but good enough to not make me cry.
- Garrus. 'Nuff said.
- Wrex. Ditto.
- Female Krogan. Loved her little ladylike waddle.
- Skills. Definitely expanded and beefed up from ME2.
Dodgy stuff:
- Not sure that Liara actually needs me to help her save the galaxy. She can probably do it herself while I go for a lie down. Seriously, she's incredibly effective in combat and I felt a bit like her sidekick, only with less funny lines.
- hoping for a greater array of dialogue choices in the full game.
- in one instance, I did just keep rolling rather than get the hell into cover and stay there. I think at least one Cerberus guy died of laughter.
- Played on normal difficulty, and it honestly didn't feel any harder than ME2 or ME1 at normal. To be fair, that could be because I'm getting used to playing Mass Effect on hardcore these days. But I heard that ME3 normal was the equivalent to ME2 veteran and didn't want to overstretch myself.
Neutral:
Can't comment on story elements, since I'm pretty sure that these levels were rather pared down from the final game. At least I'm hoping so, since the non-combat bits did feel as though I was watching rather than playing.
Looking forward to March 9th! Cheers for the chance to play a bit of ME3 xx

Actually now that I braved outside of the character creator it does look more like her then I thought. But still different. In a good way.

I didn't really notice anything with Wrex. Aside from him being a badass.
Next time you boot up the demo pay careful attention to his voice mainly in the radio lines. It's totally Wreav.

One thing I have to get used to is the cooldown system. I'm so used to spamming pull and throw in ME2 with my Adept, but now I can't do that, so I have to play around more with different tactics (btw I was playing on Insanity just to see how it was.. and oh man; those turrets). Overall, I'm really into the game right now, still getting used to the roll system though.
Ok again for the turrets, have Liara cast Singularity on them and then you cast Warp. The detonation can one shot a turret.

I noticed that too. Before the action he sounds a lot more like ME1 Wrex than ME2 Wrex. I hope they still add some more bass to his voice while keeping it similar to his ME1 voice.JeffZero wrote...

Yep I was surprised too. This is of course assuming you already took the shields down and are on the armor section.
