I found it to be a lot like ME2, just with changes, as it should be. I liked the fact the powers and their improvements were not just copy and pasted from ME2, they changed them a bit. The difficulty of it in RPG mode on normal wasn't much different than normal in the previous games.

Play the demo once or twice and you can quickly get used to any changes made from the previous game.

Incredible demo! The combat is MUCH improved, the cover system is weird at first, but when you get used to it,its works great. The soundtrack is also better than ever, same for the voice acting. The only thing that i missed was the customization for the weapons.I did see it some bugs, but nothing serious.I played with all classes, and i had a LOT of fun.

Ooh, first class might be infiltrator, then. Cloak to an engineer's back...  the possibilities.

Not to mention sniping the Guardian through the eyeslot in the shield... probably one of the most satisfying things as an Infiltrator. :o

Ooh, reading that makes me shiver! A challenge... let me echo that smiley: :o

I've been watching videos of the demo.

The animations are really bad. They need improvements.
I loved the recoil. Though for Xbox and PS3 players must be a headache.
Soundtrack, lovely.
Sounds, perfect.

Playing the demo now, it doesn't feel mass effect to me, shooting seems sounds wierd and I can use throw about 15. Times in one minute. Idk maybe im brings **** but im not liking the changes so far. Kinda feel like whatever EA gets there hands on they destroy by trying to make it too mainstream for all newcomers.

I believe the way it works is the heavier your guns/armor are, the less often you can use those powers.

Is there a way to drop weapons in the demo? I don't remember seeing that option

So after playing twice does it look like the traditional crouch system has been canned?

I just played the demo as an adept and loved it not much dialogue but that understandable as it is a demo.I think in the full game what we choose to say in the game will have much affect in the game; seeing Earth and the entire fleet just like wiped out makes me realize how much trouble the planet and the galaxy is true in.

I never saw anyone crouch in the demo, but I remember months ago Chris saying they were gonna put it in.

I'm a little embarrassed now to find out out their will be no crouch after searching the net. I honestly saw nothing wrong with it. But the problems that Bioware mentioned I guess they couldn't fix.

EDIT: And before any one calls me an idiot about the crouch system. It must of been the ME1 nostalgia that overwhelmed me into believing their was crouching in ME2. I'm currently playing Me1 again.

Sheathing weapons seems to have been eradicated once and for all as well. But honestly, I'm not sure I'd ever really want to put my gun down with those Centurions anywhere nearby.

can you create your own Shep in the demo (including FemShep) and pick your class? or are you stuck with the default male soldier Shep?

also, is the ME2 facecode system still in place and can you still use ME2 facecodes?

finally, can you put points into all of your class abilities to try them out ( like Shockwave )?

thanks.

Could people who already played the demo tell me which one of these are available? Would love to know

- weapons loadout
- workbench
- armor customization menus

Wait, none of the 3 I listed? So only Powers leveling screen? That's... rather disappointing tbh :( I mean, then the demo doesn't really showcase all the game has to offer, especially in hugely impoved customization :(

Yeah none of the 3. Sorry the only thing the menu is going over is with squad mate, main menu, and options. Its a pretty basic demo. It may not mean much because it going to be showing a cut version of sur' kush and the a full version of the Earth intro. Thats it.

So I just finished it and I loved it, took me all of the Earth section to get used to it but I really love the combat now. I got one question though. I'm positive I picked RPG as my play style but Shepard seemed to be doing a lot of talking on his own and I only got to pick two or three dialogue options. Did this happen to everyone else or did I just hit Action (I think that's what it's called sorry if I'm wrong.) accidentally?

Anyway it put a lot of my worries to bed and was INSANELY fun and challenging.

P.S did Anderson & Kaiden look weird to anyone else? They looked off.

First thing I noticed is how much the graphics have improved. They have come a LONG way since ME1. Just spent the last two weeks replaying ME1 and ME2 and it's like night and day. And has been mentioned by plenty, the enemies are much harder this time around. They continually force you out of cover and flank you, making you take full advantage of your squad mates and use actually strategy. Oh and Ash is hot-ter now. Glad I stuck with her and resisted Miranda's skin tight pants. Can't wait to play the full game

Their were some moments in the previous game were Shep answered automatically. If Anderson or Kaiden look weird it probably the updated graphics.

You can assign points into powers but the weapon loadouts are fixed and there is no weapon or armor customization available.

Right! I completely forgot that, stupid me I guess. Obviously thats a sign I should get back onto my last replay. (Once I start I get sucked right in again so I've intentionally put it off to the last minute.)

I enjoyed the combat much more. A lot more faster paced and fluid. One gripe I had with the combat is that the powers seem to recharge to slow (I know you can upgrade them but they still seem pretty slow even after upgrades) compared to ME1 and 2. This was only a minor annoyance though.

I have to applaud Bioware on the improvements they made to the movements of characters during "cutscenes". They now seem very fluid and not as awkward as they were in ME1 and 2.

It seems the conversations do not seem as frequent either (I was playing on RPG mode), well at least in the two parts I played in the demo.

Overall, I really enjoyed this demo. Anyone who was a fan of ME1 and 2 will defiantly be a fan of three

Yeah I'm glad I'm not the only one who's forgotten something or mistaken something that you thought was in the game. I'm currently replaying ME1 and I seriously thought their was a crouch system in ME2 and I've played ME2 more go figure. My nostalgia tricked my memory.

I just realized I can revive squadmates by just walking up to them, instead of using Medpacks. That's neat.

Really? That's awesome. I was extremely stingy on medpacks since ME2 (those 100 credit bonuses add up), so I never revived downed allies.

I also noticed the Dynamic Reaction dialogue from DA2 is now in ME3. Where cutscene dialogue you don't control is different depending on you picking renegade or paragon choices.
