"Oh god, they're gonna take down that dreadnought!"
But Ashley, isn't that a cruiser? Or frigate? Dreadnaughts are arranged with their decks perpendicular to the axis of the main gun, which the entire ship is built around. They can't enter that far into a gravity well, can they? I mean, when Sovereign entered the atmosphere on Eden Prime, it was a shock.

Loving the enemy AI this time, they don't go all kamikaze on you a la ME1 nor do they sit behind cover playing peek-aboo like in ME2. They actually doge roll to safety, try to flank you whenever possible, throw a grenade or two if your wall hugging too much, engineers throw down & repair turrets to keep the pressure on as guardians provide safety & push forward. You actually find yourself pausing more often to find the best approach to a situation.

I just finished playing the demo. One play through as
an Adept and the other a Vanguard. I can confirm on one thing...It's
very much so an rpg. The downside though is that the demo doesn't let
you do much customization with you characters gear and is much, much
shorter then the leak demo that came out. They made sure that anything
that can be considered a spoiler is out of the demo. Now for the
portion on the otherside of the down side is gear. From playing the demo
twice, I can see that the weight system is going to be the bead and
butter of this game. It's the major rpg part of it. It controls the
cooldown time of your powers, and your weapon attack power.
Unfortunately, you can't tinker with it in the demo because it's fixed.
Fortunately, the demo is split into two parts and each part gives you a
taste of what light weight and heavy weight combat is like. The
first part of the demo, you have just one to later two weapons on hand.
Both my biotic user were crushing enemies like nothing. My vanguard was
ripping enemies like tissue with charge and his strong melee. This was
due to the fact the the cooldown I had was super fast. Less weight
and/or weapons equal faster power use.Once I got to the second
part of the demo, things were different. 4 weapons were forced on me
with no way for me to take them off. The cooldown of my power were way
slower then in the firstpart of the demo. Meaning I depended on gun play
more while liara was quickly using her powers. The weight system
is what really going to push this game into the more rpg part of the
action rpg, even with faster combat. It give the player a choice of
power base caster or tps shooter as you build your character.Enemies
are smarter and tougher too, with many on normal with protection and
diffent fighting styles. Powers have more kick with cyro ammo now
working on protected targets and nova having no cooldown but based of
power is directed off your your barrier.Power are faster in casting and fellbetter then they did in ME2. Also, people will love strong melee.

Yep, unless you are a soldier, it makes sense. But for me, the rpg/tps stuff isn't important. If it's about gameplay the only thing that matters for me is the AI, level complexity and challenge. And I'll be a ****ing liar if I don't recognize the fact that the AI and challenge are higher. About the level complexity, is better than ME2, but one level =/= entire game, so I'll wait to the full version before I say anything about that matter.dreman9999 wrote...

With squad control. Are you team mates conscience for their own lives? Do they take cover when attacked? If you tell them to move up to a position do they 'naturally' go for cover or do they duck down 5 feet from it and shoot straight into the wall that they should be in in cover next too
Sometimes. They also do stupid crap too like rushing an Atlas and getting curb stomped.

Bioware only create Character Driven Stories with epic narratives and yet never lose the personal touch. But I knew from when I finished KOTOR 1.
