I think it's because it's coming out tmr, so they're giving out just to promote the game, the site, the one who giving out.

Or maybe it's just funny for them to see EVERYONE desperately try to get one

True Story. I was hitting up that lame facebook decode and win game forever only to find out getting the demo early was as easy as one, two, three. If not here, check their twitter!
