Theres only 24 possible combinations so unless its completely random every single time you do it which would be a real dick move, it shouldn't take more then eight tries (as in 3 attempts per try every two hours)

That's assuming they did this the smart way as in make it so the first time you put in your gamertag it picks a combination randomly and you just have to keep guessing till you hit it, if its randomized every single time then thats just ****ing stupid and makes this little game nearly impossible. If it turns out to be that I will be pissed. A petty ****** for something that I'm already gonna get free in a few more days anyways, but still.

It's not a combination. You win "If the user reveals 3 matching icons." When you click on each symbol it reveals a number sequence. Four of the three symbols have to reveal the same number sequence, and you win. More than that, the Terms and Conditions state that winners are selected based on random draw, so unfortunately there is probably nothing you can do to increase your odds of winning. You just have to go through the motions every 2 hours and cross your fingers.

Yea, this. I've tried using a metronome, timing it, and just about everything else.. It's basically a frustrating slot machine. I've gotten TWO matched many many times but just can't get the third.

**** I didn't realize that.

I'll keep doing it, but hope has just faded drastically.

What an incredibly stupid promotion. Let's get people excited by making them incredibly frustrated.

Yeah this is really annoying. It's basically a glorified slot machine.

I have no problem doing the damn thing over and over, but that two hour wait is ridiculous.

This primary function of this contest, if you want to call it that, is to raise hype.  The only thing it's doing for sure is raising my blood pressure.  They want you to share this to your friends; not happening for most people I can garantee that.  If they gave me a free code for sharing this with say.....20+ friends or so I would've done it in a heart beat.  That would be a great incentive to actually promo for them on facebook.

They say they have 10,000 demo codes to give out. But I fail to see how even 100 will win this hunk of garbage game.

I've gone about 20 tries with no luck.

1. Mass Effect 3 demo early access code – 10k total.
2. Mass Effect Normandy Avatar item – 5k total."[/list]

Like you said the only thing building is rage.  Just seems stupid to me, if they're doing promos and giving codes away, and the demo is ready to go, just release it already.  I bet a lot more hype would generate from people telling their friends about how good it is and getting them to play it. BAH!

Does anyone know if this code is universal? Will it even work for US residents? Please tell me no so I can stop trying.

Agreed. Idiotic little games like this just ****** ppl off. Plus it reflects badly on what its supposed to advertise, letting everyone just play the demo before  the weekend would raise ALOT more hype. And respect. But instead we have to deal with retarded contest/exclusive bs. By now if it were any other game I just would've said, "screw it, this game is clearly not worth it."

All game releases in North America are on tuedays so I'm pretty sure they can't officially release it until then.  I just wish they had thought of something a little more clever than this.

I don't think this is legit. I haven't seen any official word from anyone to do with BioWare about this. It seems like a scam to me.

It's a part of the official Xbox UK page.
