The equipment of a certain LVL 22 rouge does not seem impressive or epic, at least not when compared to the dlc items like the blood dragon armor and some of the unlocks. So do you think that you are able to use the dlc items throughout and even use it for the whole game without seeing the need to switch.
Game becomes a pushover as a result.

I imagine that you don't get some of the DLC items right at the beginning (for example the 3 DDE items seem mildly powerful). Instead you must find the merchant who sells them, much the same as BGII.

One problem a person said about the game was that the high level gear looks a lot like the low level gear.Maybe he played without DLC?
