Last time I checked, Mass Effect is a series made by humans with a human audience trying to appeal to human players who mostly relate to humans in game.
The fact that humans play a central role in Mass Effect only makes sense.
And really, if humanities role in Mass Effect already bothers you so much, I wonder what you would think of Warhammer 40k.
