I don't get why everyone is complaining about the hair bun issue. She looks fine with her hair down. It gives her a fresh look

+ if you guys didn't observe

In the ME3 Collectors Edition video, just at the 0:27 mark

If you pause, you can see 3 Ashley suits, two of which are with the hair bun (or at least pulled back by the looks of it)

No one is complaining about ashley's hair looking BAD while its down, the complaint is about profesionallism. Bioware already irks me with all the little military mistakes they made (and admitted making, so we can't just claim its the future and things change), each new one they make just makes my eyes twitch.

It's a game, it's not even trying to be realistic - it's trying to tell a great story in an interesting manner.

Are you all men because trust me if you had long hair and shot AT ALL you would know it is diificuly when your hair is down, I assume Ashley can wear a helmet in game and keep her hair out of her face but otherwise it is just crazy.

It is supposed to tell a great story in a realistic manner it would not have a women rifleman have her hair in her face.
AEven if you think it isn't supposed to be realistic think of why they had relistice hair styles in the first two game.

I didn't say anything about realistic. Bioware can have their character dress however they want, it's just fiction.

Considering Mass Effect's amazing hairspray technology, Ash's hair stays as still as ice and her bangs can't get into her eyes.  This makes wearing a helmet irrelevent and lets her stay sexy showing off her nonregulation hair length during combat.

It isn't just the bang . but anyway after all this actually I like her new style.

I was just saying all that from my own experience.

Eh, the look in ME1 was more revealing, anyway.

It was also more of a "professional soldier" look.  Capable, functional, a "mature" look, one might say.  Style and sexiness, while there, we're a (rightfully ) secondary concern

The medium armor in ME1 is every bit as form-fitting as Ashley's casual outfit in ME3.  That's the medium armor.  Don't get me started on the light version.  And I haven't heard an eighth of the complaints about that as there are now.  People are literally crying "prostitute" over a woman who's decided to put on more clothes.

Not to mention that the chesticle sag on her ME1 casual outfit made it abundantly clear that she wasn't wearing a bra.  Which is a segue into her ME3 bustline, which say less "I GOTS BIGGER BEWBZ!!!" and more "I'm actually supported by an underwire this time."

I've tried to find a more diplomatic word than "stupid" for this whole argument but I just can't find it.  That's honestly what it is, cut with concern-trolling and the queasy anti-feminism that comes part and parcel with a board full of male nerds and how pretty women make them feel.  It's not that Ashley looks like a prostitute; it's that she looks like the girl who ignored us in high school.

I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I don't hate and detest women to the point that I make claims against their virtue and deem them fit to die in a nuclear explosion solely because they decide to wear their hair down and apply blush.

I guess that makes me weird.

EDIT: Fixed spelling.

I'm just being sarcastic, I like the hairstyle too and I'm not going against your experience as you have more than I do.  I was just mocking how Mass Effect physics work.

I'm a man with long hair, any time I've got to do work outside or eat my food I've got to tie up my mane, hah.

Ash's hair as it stands is fine(out of combat, at least). I hope her hair's in a ponytail on actual combat missions though.

Provided you're even allowed to kill her, of course.  And presuming that doing so doesn't have other consequences you find unacceptable. Not to rain on your make-believe hardass parade or anything.

I don't like how deep of a blue her outfit is now. Then my preorder took a lying cake to the knee.

You're talking about FemShep?

He can't be talking about either of the leading ladies. Unless he's seen some very feminine looking men in wigs.

I used to get my adventures cut short by arrows to the knee, but then I figured out that I could deflect them with well timed barrel rolls.
