I have a question for those who are complaining about the new look, because they find it unrealistic and not practical for combat:

Were you equally annoyed in Mass Effect 1 when Ashley was wearing white and pink armor on Eden Prime? Because you know, besides not being very tactical, for a Marine she was totally out of uniform there. She is the only Alliance Marine in Mass Effect 1 that did not wear armor with a green, black, or camo color scheme.

The color of the armor didn't really matter...Camo seems to be pretty much pointless in ME with Kinetic Barriers and such now. At least thats what I interpret...

Even with shields and armor you'd still want a color scheme that blends in with your enviroment. The enemy can't shoot what they can't see, and camo would just be an extra layer of protection.

But even if you ignore the impracticality of a white and pink armor scheme, you still can't ignore the fact that it breaks uniformity. Ash is the only Marine with Phoenix armor. Even during her distress call you can see other Marines from her unit in the background, and they all wearing military green. She was out of uniform, and people that complain about her ME3 outfit while suspending disbelief on the Phoenix armor, are applying a double standard.

This was my number one problem with Ashley, she is a soldier and as a soldier you don't wear an armor with a color that says "look at me, i'm right here. So why don't you shoot me plz" She should be wearing armor that blends in with the environment. As soon as I got her I took her out of that horrendous pink armor sold it and got her a more better color looking armor.

It's quite possible that Ashley's family history is why she fronted as a hard-nosed b**** in 1 & 2, but for 3 she's finally put all that behind her. Her comment about how she "used to know Shepard" had better be non-romance transfer dialog. Seriously.

Shepard wears a great big read stripe on his arm.  Camouflage is not something people in mass effect care about.

(It bugs me a bit, but it's a setting wide aesthetic, not just limited to Ashley)

Around the 7:15 mark or so.

They fixed the white bits of her outfit, her face textures, added to the facial animation, and I can say that whoever still had doubts and concerns about Ashley looking all herpderpderp from the beta leak can rest easy now.

As I said: the face wasn't done in the beta and needed a lot of tweaking. Same for her skin color.

I'm glad Ashley looks like Ashley again. And I her for being "my" Ashley ^^

Shepards and the others camo didn't bother me but on the other end Ashley's bothered me completely, when I saw her for the first time in the cutscene my first reaction is wth is wrong with her using pink on her armor.

I know, I know, but after the encounter on Horizon and that email....Idk. I'm going to do my best to show her the Shepard she knew is alive and well by blowing the f*** out of some Reapers.
