I don't understand this. Why only XBox and why only Italy? This is not fan friendly, nor consumer friendly and not even capitalistic friendly. It is EA business and Bioware can't help it but it makes me ponder if I should quit my N7 preorder and just buy the regular version.

Everyone is overreacting assuming Bioware and EA have complete control over how the game is packaged. They don't. If it's Gamestop exclusive there's a distinct possibility Gamestop has decided to package this themselves as their own little incentive to draw sales to them.

Since the collectors edition comes in limited quantities they might not have had enough left over to sell it worldwide and instead chose a country where they wanted to drum up sales further.

Either way, Italy wins this round.

I'm considering the possibility of buying it, though the price is really high. I'm glade though that at least the N7 Warfare Gear is available for all copy of ME3 (the italian site has finally shown the promotion) since I wasn't sure if GS Italy will have it.

Meh, I can already get the SR-2 model if I want, and the notebook seems cheap anyways. I'd also say there's a good chance this is something Gamestop made up, like the Assassin's Creed Revelations bundle they did here where they packaged in an action figure and a little Da Vinci flyer.
