Hi.
Have just started Quests and Legends. Found the road to Minas Ioth blocked with a boulder so tried using oil barrels from the mine to clear it as in the mine but text says I need some sort of Salve  ????  Please help.

you need to get to Eros, I found that talking with the head guy on the bridge at thieves guild gives a clue, which is Valeria, but you need to get her friendlier before you start getting quests in the Eros area.  the mage is in Eros in the market area.  He gives you lots of magic things, but I still have not figured out how to destroy the boulder, maybe you will, I'm still working on it...Good luck                                  Ah, the barrel did work

the mage/alchemist at Ergas Pass will sell you a barrel of explosives.  i don't remember it being terribly expensive.
