Other platforms should have just as much chance for early access as 360 users. It's really not fair to you guys.
But, you have to remember that this series was originally intended to be an Xbox exclusive, only ported to PC by popular demand, and ME2 was brought to PS3 by popular demand. Microsoft had their hot little hands all over this franchise from the start (and still retain the rights to ME1), so of course their platform is going to be favored. Early PC access is being restricted for hacking concerns, from what I've heard (just hearsay, I have no evidence on this). Not saying it's nice or fair, but saying that's how it is. Corporate shenanigans suck.
I feel for you guys, though, I really do.

Aw c'mon, that's not a nice thing to say. Chris is tireless in his devotion to the community. Every time he comes to see me I know he wants me to let him dish on some uber secret information for you guys, and I have to say "no not yet!". Plus he must have the skin of an elephant. Mine is like tissue paper.
You at least take the time to be nice and answer questions, Priestly answers the ones he wants and ignores the rest. He was quite rude to me as well, and has not answered a very important PM i sent him over a month ago.

Bottom line is there is no reason to release a demo for one system first. Hell if I was Bioware I wouldn't trust them with anything after the last demo, surprised they haven't accidentally released the full game.

Hey guys,
I know this will start to become a concern as we get into the launch timeframe with the demo and...other things..and it may seem like we are "favoring" certain platforms.
What I want to tell you is this: we don't care what platform you play on. If you are a player of our game, a fan of BioWare, Mass Effect (and SWTOR, and DA....etc) we value you. Very, very highly. Sometimes there are going to be things that happen that may make you question that, but please don't. You are the bedrock our successes are built on. When we have to omit a particular platform or group of players from something, we do so regretfully and only after carefully considering all the options on the table.
Now, the thing is I can't come here and publicly tell you *exactly* why some platforms will or won't be involved in any particular release or promotion. There are always a LOT of variables that affect those things. Many people, multiple companies, many days/weeks/hours of discussions, much planning, much debate. Often it is groups that you guys don't have any real visibility to. Sometimes, things are actually beyond our control (and by that I mean EA as well) and we just have to make the best of that.
So basically: please know that we are always going to make every effort to bring every promotion and release (and content) to as many platforms and fans as we can. At no point does anyone ever think "oh well, those are just XYZ players. No big deal.".
That's about as up front as I can be on this topic (without getting in hot water). In less than a week, everyone will be playing the entire demo. Hopefully multiple times and many hours of multiplayerThe war is almost here.

Is 3, no two days long to wait? No, 48 hours, and don't go whinging about it being released on Valentines day. If you intend to spend Valentines day playing a demo instead of spending it with your loved one, then you deserve a Krogan kerb stomping. Play it on the 15th
Is it MS's Fault? No. It's Sony's fault for not doing what MS did and fronting up the cash for an early release.
If you want to play ME2 without playing one because you didn't buy an Xbox 360? Then look in the mirror and blame yourselves, not BW.

All we hear is bioware constantly pushing microsoft's kinect whereas most people couldn't care less.
Now exclusive facebook Xbox demo codes, the 360 demo available since the 10th whereas PC and PS3 players have to wait until the 14th.
The PC version looks like another shoddy port, no high-res textures people asked for, no controller support, forced origin etc.
I realise the 360 is the biggest seller but bioware is really screwing PS3 and PC fans.
We were here first, Deal.

Is it unfair? No, the ME series was an xbox exclusive title, the only reason the PS3 got ME2 was because EA bought out BW and insisted it gets released.

As for the topic itself, it becomes annoying that Bioware doesn't seem to give as much about PS3 and PC as Xbox. All the vids are Xbox based, Xbox gets some exclusive content it seems (really, why?!), the PS3 which is if I recall OK more powerfull then the Xbox gets it's shoddy graphics and a few other things (I am not a PS3 owner, so don't follow it).
PC, despite the (marginal) possibility of modding (ME2 wasn't really mod-friendly, and nor will ME3 be) and the ability of high-res textures, gets screwed over even more... First of all, bloody Origin. Worst piece of legal spyware I've ever seen. Isn't user-friendly either.
Then, no high-res textures support, nor DX10/11 support, no PC-specific keybindings (shortcut to journal etc), loading screens which just have to finish while the PC itself is long-since done loading, no AA, etc. I can continue this list. Bioware, get a grip and start treating PS3 and PC as equals for the Xbox - aka, put the same effort into the PS3 and PC as you do for the Xbox, so all can be satisfied.

I don't know about you, but I'm spending the entire 14th with my wife, screw the demo... Not representing the topic in question here but still, opinions are opinions and all I here is whinging about nothing to the wrong people.
Bioware isn't to blame... Thats my point.

Do you remember the time before the "console wars" weren't as heated and no one really cared what system you played?
Do you remember when PC games didn't require powerful rigs to play and even dedicate PC gamers didn't play games because their set-up was technolgocally superior but because they enjoyed the style of games released for their platform of choice?
I miss those days.
Nowadays you have psuedo-facisist PC elites who are self-entiled ****s who consider themselves superior to console gamers, PS3 gamers who cry foul even though they have better exclusives (and against the 360 free online support), and X-Box players who gloat that they play the same system that... Well, ****ing everybody plays.
Whatever happened because you enjoyed it and not caring about what you don't have and loving what you do?

It is rather unfair, but then again for the PC players they get to have modded games to suit the preferences more, the ability to take high quality screenshots and have a fly cam for even BETTER screenshots, fabulous texmods that allow you to create things in game, and have gibbed save editor so you don't have to run through ME1 if you want to hae a non default ME2 PT when you create a new shepard (I have the PC version of ME2 but I can't play it as much as my 360 version) I like that the 360 players got something special for once.
Those mods are there solely by virtue of the modders skill and the fact that the PC is an open platform.

What are you talking about, you don't need powerful rigs to play games these days. Especially since most are designed for console hardware. You might not be able to set everything to high, but that's always been an option.
There might have been a time where the advent of 3D graphics and accelerators and trying to get better 3D graphics meant you could easily fall behind, but Crysis was the last title to really do that.
Also that "the lucky you even have it" argument that some people have brandishing about.
So we should just be silent and praising on the sole basis that they could have not given it to us...?
Yeah... I don't see the logic in that.

Ah don't deal only in absolutes like sith
As for Xbox early release... I'm pc gamer and to be honest, I don't give a fig they released early access for those who play on console. Let people have fun, don't ever follow petty philosophy - if my cow is dead so should neighbour's cow die too. They announced it'll be released on 14th and berserking 'cause console players got it earlier is something my little daughters would do. Just let people who can have their fun. I'm all for 'all platforms should be treated equally', but since it's not going to happen, no need for jelousy. Anyways, I hope that those who got the demo are enjoying themselves as they should.
