They will not die...
If you go to load game, and click: change character, you will find your last party^_^

Any time my party dies, I cut myself with a knife, bash my head against the wall and then throw my PC out of the window and buy a new one. *That's* iron man mode!

If I have a single death, I reload.  Doing what you suggest is a bit extreme.

I might do it in the future. By the future I mean a few years from now when I'm an ace at the game. Similar to the no-reload challenges that cropped up on the Baldur's Gate forums a few years after release. I wouldn't ruin my game experience by doing this the first(or second) time through though.

This seems plausible on normal or easy. On nightmare (well, a slightly harder version of nightmare), however, there are instances where you just lose. A certain blood mage in a certain house can easily 2HKO your entire party in less than 5 seconds (I've timed this) if his AI chooses the right spells to cast on you immediately after the cutscene ends. Thanks for grouping us all up for him, Bioware!

Can't wait till you fight the Archdemon, and how quickly you'll change the way you play.

Just sayin'

Hell no! That's way too hardcore for me. Playing like that would give me an ulcer or something.

This is getting into spoiler territory, but, it's entirely possible to just watch the Archdemon be killed if you save up your resources.

well i sometimes read in disbelief about players complaining that impossible is not hard enough for them while talking about difficulty but what you're doing is really hardcore. i oblige myself not to use some possibilities because i consider them to be gamey but the game would not be enjoyable for me anymore when i would play like you do. i would have to restart way to much then :D

There is somebody who has already done this on Nightmare BTW.

He came onto the boards and he was level 22 with Archdemon killed and 0 injuries.

This only means he rolled back to previous saves every time a character fell, not that he restarted entirely upon party death.

I was under the impression that injuries were tied to your character, and it didn't matter that you reloaded a save.

I would have neither the time nor the patience to start the game over if my party died. I would rather spend my time on another playthrough of the game with a different character.

This would be me.  I don't have enough time to play like that.  I would still be trying to get to the end 5 years from now.

I'd have like 20 characters right now if I played that way. Sometimes you just get wasted when you're trying out a new tactic that ends up failing miserably.

Also, you only have injuries recorded if the PC falls unconcious in a fight byt your party wins and you stand back up. If everyone gets wasted then no injury is recorded for the PC character. (Otherwise I'd have many more injuries than indicated in my characters statistics  :?)

Do not take any dedicated fighters and you will be fine. The games set up so all the baddies attack them first only their armour does not compensate for the damage they take so they die very quickly. My first game was with such a fighter, my avatar is the picture of my character, its in my profile if you want it see it, and it was extremely hard but i managed it.

My second game involves a rogue and is much easier without the fighters.

Dex is great, what they cannot hit, does not need healing.
