I was wondering if anyone else starts a new game if their entire party dies ?

Yep :)

On my 7th playthrough now, furthest I've ever gotten was level 13.

A good game has a lot of replay value, and replays are more exciting when you still have the prospect of beating the game to look forward to.

Not to mention the incredible rushes of adrenaline, fear, elation that come from this style of play.

I would never restart just because I died, that's why quick saves are for. I want to see the ending as well so no thank you restarting hehe.

I just don't have the patience for that. All the more power to those that do. To each their own I say.

I do.

I really think the game needs to allow you for more preparation for battles and research instead of just being allowed to dive into fight.  Let's say you fight a dragon and after 20 attempts finally beat it, that is no good.

The game should prepare you for challenging fights so instead of getting owned the first time, you go into the fight prepared for what to do.

They do do that... by having increasingly difficult battles before the boss.

I'm talking codecs that give info about what you're gonna fight, npcs you talk with that say "oh my grandfather did so & so to defeat a dragon, etc"....

For example when fighting an ogre, if you read the codec it tells you that you can break an ogres grasph by doing x.

so the highest level you have gotten to is 13 and you spend all these hours on the forums complaining about mages and telling bioware they did it wrong and all this other junk?

some of you people out there are just flat out amazing at the depths of your need to troll a forum.

I used to play my games like that all the time untill I came to the saddening conclusion that game developers were creating their games with all these (cheating) save/reloaders in mind. A strange breed of human that also uses every hack, exploit, and/or cheat they can possibly find, just so they can claim that the game is too easy.
It's not a wonder I was always put off by many games difficulty level while others were whining their crocodile tears on how easy it was.. and still.

Just look on these forums to see how many L337 players yelp about DA:O being too easy on nightmare mode.
It makes me curious when these "mad skillz" gamers actually do find it difficult enough. Probably by the time it gets so hard that they can't even finish the game anymore (not even with exploits and cheats). Boy, what fun we have then, eh..:innocent:

I'm so awesome that when I die, I smash my computer with a baseball bat, then buy a new one.

At least that's what I would do if I ever died.

It's more than obvious by level 13 :)

Hell it's more than obvious by level 7.

Hmm considering this isnt a action rpg game , like titan quest or diablo or even torchlight which i have been playing recently .

I dont see a point big rpg's like this take way longer to finish than your typical ARPG's anyhow i dont have the time anymore to play like this .

last time i did was Sacred2 this summer and am pretty much done rerolling in that game on Hardcore mode.

That's not really hardcore mode. Hardcore players would buy a new copy of Dragon Age because in that game world the characters are dead. You can't just make new characters and have the same npcs join you. It would be like they didn't die. With a whole new copy of Dragon Age, it would be like an alternate dimension where they didn't die.

I never intend on playing a hardcore mode, ever.

I imagine that if I did, and got my character to a medium/high level and he were to ever die, I would go ape-s*** on my keyboard and other peripheral.
