All I've read is that romancing 'certain' party members have an impact on the story/plot of DA:O. I'd like to know a little more...
One of my goals is to see all the variations in the story/plot through multiple play throughs. A simple Yes or No or Kinda answer will be fine:
Is there an impact on story/plot if I romance...
...as a male with Leliana?
...as a male with Morrigan?
...as a male with Zevran?
...as a female with Alistair?
....as a female with Zevran?
...as a female with Leliana?
"No" answers I'll avoid, but "Yes" and "Kinda" answers I'll persue. Thanks for any help!

I know Morrigan and Alistair both play important roles in the main story, so yes, romancing them will have an impact. As for everyone else, your romance is known and not sort of done and forgotten, but I dont know if it has as big of an impact as it does with Alistair or Morrigan.

I knew as a male by romancing Morrigan, there would be a plot impact (I can see that one coming from a mile away). And I kinda knew as a female, Alistair would be the only man who impacted the plot with a romance. Because that's why BioWare only chose to have Zevran and Leliana swing towards the same sex. It made it easier on the writers to have a romance with them (whether it be male/female, male/male or female/female) excluded from plot impacts so there wouldn't be all these variations in story and plot twists and programming to be done. Makes sense.

Meh. I don't want to jump to conclusions, but that sounds as if Leliana and Zevran are "second-class" relationships. F/F Leliana is the only one I'm potentially interested in, personally. Let's wait and see.

That's stupid. Why can't my gays affect the world with their romance? Oh well.

Considering how your companions can react to each other I'd presume all your possible relationships can affect the main plot.

Yes, exactly. Hope it's not like that.

Given the precident set in the Stolen Throne, perhaps you'll have to make some sacrifices in the romance department. You know, for the good of Ferelden.
