This game is ridicliously hard.
I put all my points that I had got when I started the second mission on fitness to give me the highest amount of sheilds and health. Does nothing. Still get gunned down, dead, in a few hits.

The turrents that never die on the second mission and constantly repair themselves... you just have to poke your head out of cover for just a slight second and they gun you down and you cannot move when underfire.

Few things that bugged me...

Rolling:
The rolling doesn't work in close quaters, you roll and automatically lock on to pieces of cover that you don't want to roll into. Majority of the time the pieces of cover are not even proper cover, and you stick out of half of it.

Cover:
Well the lack of it, on the second level you get a few waist high blocks but that's it. You have to try and cover on objects and structures that are tiny, animations go all weird, Shepard sometimes doesn't know what he's doing and pops out of cover and gets killed. Angled pieces of structure are awful, Shepard never properly locks onto the cover, your head is constantly stuck out in the open.

Being hit while in perfect cover:
Had a few wtf moments with this, seems like the enemy will kill you no matter where you are.

Also squadmates are idiots, Liara constantly kept trying to roll into cover that didn't connect properly that just left her standing up in the middle of the cross fire.

I thought ME2 insanity was bad
'Assuming Controlll' :pinched:
ME3 is just madness lol

What yall think of it?

Simple, pick "Story" mode next time! Some of us like the challenge!

Also, the turrets keep repairing themselves because the tech keeps repairing them, you need to kill the tech off first!

Adept make it trivial... enemies with defenses are just not prepared to face biotic powers.

I found it hard, but not frustrating. Most of my deaths on insanity were due to enormous DERP moments on my part, in contrast to the 'HOW THE HECK DID THAT HAPPEN?! HAX!' moments during ME2.

I'm still having fun on it. I'm happy to see unshielded peeps on Insanity mode, and you can even hack the turrent with it's shield on.

Very nice.

Well I'm glad insanity means, well insanity. If it takes me 13 attempts to succeed on the easiest mission, then the developers have got that difficulty right. Insanity better mean as difficult as Daemon Souls/ Dark Souls.

I'm terrible at shooters. I'm never going to be good at them if the difficulty of insanity is merely moderately challenging (I'm looking at you Mass Effect 2). If insanity can make an awesome shooter out of me then I'm game.

you don't have the weapons, the armor, the right squadmates, or the right build to tackle it on Insanity yet. I suggest playing through the game once and then you'll have a better idea of what to do.

it seems like Infiltrator, Soldier, and Sentinel will again be the best classes for Insanity, like they were in ME2

Insanity will be a lot easier when we can pick our own weapon loadouts, particularly for non-soldiers.

Just got to think drastically outside the box....they must have a weakness....just got to be patient. Also killing the engineers before they put the turrets up may help.

Not if the engineers put them up during cutscenes :pinched:

Insanity is best saved for NG+ when you're at max level with top weaponry.

Compared to ME2, with the improved AI, I get a few wtf moments when an enemy casually walks right up to you and just starts shooting you in cover, I had one enemy, walked pass Garrus, who didn't batter an eyelid and walked straight up to Liara and meleed/shot her dead LOL

I love the increased difficulty and the more aggressive AI. I love it! Bring forth the insanity!

cue the leet players saying they finish insanity without dying (or they restart the whole game), never upgrading, using only the basic pistol and still found it stupidly easy

Hahaha.....Tazzmission seems to have found what kills them. There's always a weakness and power combos are a must on Insanity.

Sounds like Mass Effect got itself a LASO-difficulty.

And Engineer. TBH in ME2 Engineer>Infiltrator in my opinion.
Yes, Infiltrators are badasses and completing ME2 with them was kinda easy but I find Engineer a lot more powerful and versatile.
