Did they also auto-select dialogue for the demo? Or do we really only get to have any input once in a while?

Figured - for some reason, the description for Numerous reminded me of the "Default Shepard" from ME2.JeffZero wrote...
It does, AV.

Once in a while. Like said many times over already the leaked demo actually had alot more content the actual official demo does which is odd I think.Em23 wrote...
So it's confirmed that they cut dialogue out for the demo. Good

You didn't see the original demo at the leak did you? Any one that seen it knows there more dialoge in the game.PHub88 wrote...
^So optimists will say.
Truth is nobody knows...we very well could have the entire game with dialogue like that. If so thats MASSIVE blow to what made me enjoy the game. I can't imagine this series without the dialogue being the way it was. It defff does feel like Shepard is his own person. In ME2 it was extremely rare to only have 2 choices...and even when it DID happen it was the 3rd or 4th part of a conversation.
I just pray to god they made it that way for the sake of the demo being about showing off the game itself rather than dialogue...

If you don't mind my asking, where exactly is this conversation supposed to take place?AVPen wrote...
sighs.... Fine, you all want me to be "informative" instead of being a "d*ck"? <_<
Then here's a good example of a dialogue that was cut from the demo:
**ME3 SPOILER DIALOGUE**highlight to read**
*snip*
The work/upgrade benches were taken out completely in this demo while in the leak and even much older demos had them. Besides that not much more I can think of at moment.Fiery Phoenix wrote...
To quote myself from the other thread:
"Honestly, Earth was by far my favorite part of the demo. Sur'Kesh, while cool, felt like your typical ME2 shooting gallery, so I didn't really get that much out of it."
Other than that, the whole thing was damn near perfect, in my opinion. I don't know if anything was cut (aside from the Sur'Kesh hub) but it was good enough.

Demo is outstanding. I'm astonished by how much more fluid and intense the combat is, it's truly great. Wish not all of the dialogue was cut, but I understand the need to do so.
I don't know... if that is indeed the case then color me impressed. The meeting with the VS felt incredibly seamless. I could never tell something was cut out of it. Not in a million years.G3rman wrote...
Its pretty obvious it happens upon the first meeting between the VS and Shepard.Fiery Phoenix wrote...

Your assuming it was cut. Why would they cut dialogue options? Having selectable dialogue instead of auto dialogue wouldn't have meant much difference in space.

@em23 the leak had the exact same dialogue and exact same auto dialogue. Nothing changed except one additional dialogue choice with Anderson by the stairs, that wasn't in the leak. Everything else was the same. I'm sorry but unless bioware states the auto dialogue was for the demo only, it's in game. The script is hardly something to go by since it's outdated.
