People are assuming it was cut out based on a outdated script. There's no evidence to indicate it was. Unless bioware comes out and says that the auto dialogue can be selectable in retail game, it's there. Since they're obviously not going to say that, due to it being prevalent in me2, then its safe to say Shepard is doing his/her own thing now. Welcome to gears of mass with Marcus Shepard.

-Polite

Just because BioWare doesn't come out and confirm every little suspicion does not make it a confirmation by denial. But I'll end here because there's no need to go in circles with hyperbole.

Have we already gone over that Microsoft has a 2gb limit for Demos already?

I've personally never seen a demo that's over 2GB in size, and I'm quite the demo downloader/browser.

Yes, there is...The original demo.

Do I have to post links to it or something?

The only disappointment to me was we didn't get to test out the weapon bench or swap weapons. That and the shield/health bar needs to be lowered on the screen.

Or smaller in general.

^So optimists will say.

Truth is nobody knows...we very well could have the entire game with dialogue like that. If so thats MASSIVE blow to what made me enjoy the game. I can't imagine this series without the dialogue being the way it was. It defff does feel like Shepard is his own person. In ME2 it was extremely rare to only have 2 choices...and even when it DID happen it was the 3rd or 4th part of a conversation.

I just pray to god they made it that way for the sake of the demo being about showing off the game itself rather than dialogue...

You didn't see the original demo that was leaked did you? Any one that seen it knows there more dialog in the game.

I have seen it and I'm telling you there isn't. There's missing exchanges, but that doesn't mean there's more selectable dialogue. A lot of the dialogue is automatic.

You didn't see the original demo at the leak did you? Any one that seen it knows there more dialoge in the game.

The leak didn't have more options. The leak only had a hub area that was cut, if anything this demo had an extra option on earth, but there was still a ton of auto dialogue.

-Polite

The hub area let you have converastions with in it with Wrex, Karriki, a stg agent and Mordin. It's clearly all the proof I need.<_<

That's because the rule is a very real thing. There's only so much content you can put in a demo so it's totally acceptable that they would have to cut certain things out.

Besides, demos are to get a sneak peak at gameplay, not so much for getting a sneak peak at plot points of a game. We also have to remember that part of the demo size is taken up by the Multiplayer, which just isn't activated yet.

Wouldn't know. Had to work all day without realizing these codes existed, and now I can't fudging get any.

Very, very frustrated right now. This couldn't have happened yesterday when I didn't have a 10hr. shift scheduled?

I would have liked to choose only 2 weapons for the second level to reduce that awful cooldown.

Yeah, classes with powers struggle heaps there.

I guess there's no chance of a demo patch :P

Your post is laughable at best. I've seen the beta leaks, the automatic dialogue on earth is exactly the same in both beta and demo. What original demo are you referring to? Because it isn't the leak from last year, and it isn't the demo released on Friday. Please do post links.

Javier, I agree with the point you're trying to get across but I do agree with Polite that the level of auto-dialogue in the 'cinematic scenes' we were given in the demo is much higher than ever before and that is somewhat alarming.

I'm not referring to earth. I'm referring to the salarian home world part of it. There you can talk to Wrex, Karriki, a stg agent, and Mordin. They're lengthy, and in ME2 style. Did you miss that part of the demo.

Wait, what? No, no it isn't :? in the beta, Anderson's dialogue was very specfic about the past actions that Shepard had done (talking to and destroying Sovereign, discovering the Reapers intent to harvest humans through the Collectors, destroying the Alpha Relay), whereas in this new demo he talks in very generalized and vague terms on what Shepard has done in the past ("We've seen your reports...", "The sh*t you've done...", etc).

For the record, I also agree. Shepard shouldn't talk unless I tell him/her what to say.

Early access to this demo is the only thing going right for me today, 9 hours at work & traffic ticket. Now I wait for it to download on the world's 2nd slowest internet ever.

People seem to be misunderstanding concerns here. What I am especially worried about is CHOOSING the dialogue. Not how much dialogue there actually is. Its blatantly obvious parts where skipped in the demo because there is no way in heck the real game flows like that with hardly any substance at all. Once again the concern is CHOOSING dialogue and having more than 2 choices...that and Shepard saying things without us even getting TO CHOSE.

When I said exact same, I was referring to the exact amount. Poor choice of words in my original post.

What I can't help but wonder is if there is a different opening in general for those who have importaed a ME2 save. One with a select few additional dialogue choices, based on the fact that that player knows about the universe going in. That's what the opneing has to do for new players, but old ones don't need it as much, so I would theorize that Bioware provided some additional control as a result. Just a guess, mind you, based only on my personal wishes and hopes, not on any real evidence.
