@mereck - ok thanks. :)

@G3rman - what gives you the right to tell me what I can and cannot post? If you don't like what I have to say, stop reading it. If you read my full review you'd see I had high praise for everything except the dialogue, so I don't know why you're getting pity party from a legitimate concern. And if you go look at other threads and the YouTube uploads from today, you'll see that we're not the only ones concerned about the automatic dialogue.

You say people come here to leave reviews and first impressions, that is the purpose of the thread. So is it not applicable to people like me who have a concern over one of the many aspects of the game? Can we only post our reviews if we like everything in the demo? Let's try to think logically here. How about you take your fanboyism to the private messages?

Discuss it further with others in PM, you are taking the thread away from its original point continuing this dialogue past your original review.  Just because others agree doesn't mean you can go off topic.

i loved the intro, it was like the beginning of a Zombie movie, you know every one is ****ed, the main characters sense some thing is off, and your just waiting for the Axe to fall

Difficulty discussion time:

-I'm glad Insanity is even more ruthless than before - in ME2 it only got truly challenging enough for me at a few key fights. The enemy AI has improved a lot from ME2 - they will back up to avoid melee attacks, throw grenades when you spend too much time in cover, flank you and push ahead when your shields go down. Insanity on the demo is probably too intense for my first playthrough, so that means a hardcore run first followed by insanity ng+.

-The new suppression mechanic is quite realistic - I like it. No more super impenetrable couches - when you take fire directly on your piece of cover Shepard will flinch, and shield/health regen can be slowed or stopped if you take damage.

-Medigel containers give you xp for some reason. Rewarding exploration? I have no idea why.

G3rman, we are not prohibiting others from posting their reviews. This thread is to discuss the demo and whether or not it met our expectations, we're explaining and discussing one area where it didn't. If you don't like it, then feel free to go to another thread. Don't try to suppress our speech just because you don't agree with what were saying. If anything, you're taking it off topic by attacking us for raising a legitimate concern from the demo.

Oh yeah.. definitely.

The only problem is I felt Shepard moved soooo slooooow when he/she wasn't running.

And yet a dev tweet already allayed your concerns, now you are just grasping at auto dialogue from the beginning when in reality that ten minutes is nothing in a 40 hour game. Have fun wasting your time.

I love how the combat in this is o fluent. It feels like its connected on my side and the enemy side, i would be hurt then Garrus would concusive shot the enemy, while risking his life.

Overall, the demo was great. I little disapointments, how the begining was rushed. But i freaking hate the roll and cooldown, other then that...Awesome.

I wonder if there will be a trade-off, like getting exp or refilling a Medi-Gel count?

News to me. When did a developer address the auto dialogue? Link it pal.

Let me know where a dev said auto dialogue was the main staple of the ME franchise and would be included heavily in ME3 like you are saying.  Oh, I guess you can't do that either.

Overall I was extremely impressed with the demo. I liked the intro, although I do hope that the actual game does make more of an effort to bridge the gap between the end of Arrival and Shepard returning to Earth to turn himself in. The visuals were great, I didn't see any major frame rate drops or texture pop in issues.

I will admit that I was a little put off by the new facial animations at first. Sheploo looks a little different than the last two games and Anderson could have been a completely new person if Keith David didn't reprise his role. After two playthroughs the new style grew on me and I am starting to like it. Ash looks amazing. They managed to make her look more realistic and a little sexy without changing her appearance in any drastic way.

As to the gameplay, I REALLY enjoyed the new combat mechanics. It took me a little while to get used to the combat roll, but with a little practice I could almost pull a Gears roll into an enemy and unload a shotgun to the face move aka Marcus Fenix. That isn't exactly what I was expecting, and I was initially afraid it would take me out of the ME universe, but it was just to much fun to get on my nerves. Vanguards are difficult to play on Insanity, mostly because the default loadout makes power recharge too difficult. Adepts on the other hand wreak havok and are a much more viable class for Insanity mode. The enemy AI is improved, and those damn turrets are a pain in the ****.

The Kinect features work surprisingly well, but you look absolutely ridiculous while playing. There wasn't any noticeable lag between issuing a voice command and your squadmate performing an action.

I am now officially excited as hell for 03-06-12. Very impressive BW!

The demo surpassed my expectations. Mass Effect 3's shaping up to be the best game of the series.

Those feeling the intro was rushed, 2 things:

1. There is a trial that we haven't seen yet (and wasn't included in the demo).
2. What did you want? The Reapers didn't waste any time pwning the Earth and you had to get out of there fast... there's supposed to be a rush to it.

You are grasping at straws, its ten minutes of the game.  Ten minutes of confirmed auto dialogue, ten minutes of the starting game =/= 40 hour game.

Get your math straight kiddo.

I read this post before,  it was on the DA2 boards that time.

Now would also be a good time for you to notice you aren't a mod.  You don't get to determine what goes where.

DA2 =/= ME3

Action mode =/= RPG/Story mode

I can do this all day and you can't say wrong or right until you have the actual game in your hands.

Oh and btw, just because I'm not a mod of this site doesn't mean I don't know the forum rules. Perhaps you should read what off-topic means.

I was satisfied with the demo, other than the non-demonstration of all the weapons for all classes...

Lol, explain to me how it's going off topic to talk about our impressions of the demo. Gatts correct, the BDF said the same thing on the DA2 demo, I would have though you guys would at least update the lingo after 2 years. :P

Now how about you stop drifting off topic with your personal vendettas and we get to talking about the demo again?

It frightens me that no dev has said anything clear about the so-called cut content. Yeah, there is this twitter answer but I have learned not to belive twitter(being a street fighter player xD).

I mean,if there is cut-content, I don't see the point of hidding it, just go out and say "Hey,we cuted content for the sake of the demo and introducing people to the story without asking them questions about the previous game in the trial, real intro will be longer if you import your previous save, chill out thx". On the over hand, if there is no cut content, and if the game is trully this way dialogue wise, it's going to be a large decepointement, and while most of us are still going to buy the game anyway I can understand why they would try to hide the fact that maybe the dialogue is not as good as in the previous games. Beetween that and "action mode" I think concerns about dialogues are legitimate.

Dialogue is what Bioware does best. While I agree That ME2 was a very good tps, I would not have played it if not for the story and the character interaction. Removing that from the game is not a good way to market it, as you are not going to cheat anyone into beliving that this is the next gow, not after the 2 others installement. I am not even sure that making ME 2 action oriented payed off sell wise. Considering how it turned out for DA2, I trully hope that Bioware understood what we wanted and is going to gave us a true rpg, not a shooter with double the amount of cutscene just to say "hey there is a story so it's an rpg, shut up and give us you money now".

What bugs me is that no one has answered to that. I mean it's easy to see what we want right? Basicly same dialogue as in ME1, hell even ME2 would be fine, yet they have made no comparaison that i'am aware of, so i'am kinda worried :/.

Wanted to point out, during sur'kesh when I was playing maleshep, the princess had different dialogue than when I played femshep. Anyone know if this is due to gender? Or is it just random? I thought that was interesting.

Given that the issues people had with the demo had nothing to do with what people eventually decided was wrong with the main game, meh.

Really? I thought the issues people had with the DA2 main game were exactly the issues they had with the demo - plus interest.
