Origins is not what is in discussion here. You wanna talk about Origins, got to Origins topic.
I just wish we could have some answers from the devs of why we can't get the textures, or the better usage of keyboard and mouse, why they chosen this way, but no, they make us go on discussion loops, that in the end only leads to flame war, anger and topics getting close.

Why do you think Zelda or mario will never go for the lifelike look? Nintendo knows quite rightly that once they go for a realistic look, they're screwing themselves.
Now that's an incredibly valid argument. So valid that it hurts. God... so obvious! Why I did not notice this earlier?!
Maybee because both Zelda and Mario graphics were never supposed to be realistic in any way... unlike games that in a straight-forward way aim for realism.
Where do you people even get ideas this irrelevant and stupid?
Er, you're not arguing against myt point. There's nothing intriniscally that states that Zelda and Mario have to be cartoony.
Nintendo recognizes that going realistic for Zelda and Mario serve no purpose but would instead only offer more potential negatives.
Few people talk about the graphics of Zelda..nobody is going to ask for a high res pack for Zelda so Nintendo can afford to sped/worry less on the graphic budget.

Because any answer will not satisfy people and people WILL complain anyway..See the thread with regard to "holstering your weapon".

Nintendo's target market is children from age 7-14. I doubt they give a damn about high res textures or notice any difference.

I have an SSD so no problem here, and most PC users have 7200rpm HDD's so yeah, loading times are not the problem. I don't wanna make plans about petitions here because apaprently it's against the rules. Does anyone have a better idea?ArkkAngel007 wrote...
Is it really that big of a deal...I didn't really get much out of upgraded textures in Skyrim, so I don't see what will really be gained in ME3 except longer load times (which then everyone will complain about).

This is an engine thing. The game supports a toggle and a modifier; different teams make different choices (some will have it be a toggle to aim/run/crouch, and others will set it to only activate with the modifer actively engaged).Glesson wrote...
From ME2 an annoyance for me was the lack of a button that toggles walk/run. It was just sloppy they didn't include it.
You can edit your ini settings if you prefer it to act as a toggle. All UE3 games work this way.
If you wanted ME3 to have a toggle instead, you would have had to tell the design team that and given them a reason why so they could consider it. Given how pointless walk is in the game, though, they likely would have stuck with the modifier anyway.

We aren't saying it's a big deal. This thread is mostly that we'd very much like to have them.ArkkAngel007 wrote...

Hopefuly Chris Priestly see's this thread and does something about it, the least he could do is just tell a dev to check out the idea.ColdRiver wrote...

Why bother when we PC gamers are gonna buy it regardless ?
That's not what surprises me. The refusal of implementing keyboard shurtcuts on the other hand...quite baffling, imo. That sounds like a 10min job with basically zero risk of causing additional work for the dev team -and yet still...

I played Mass Effect 2 for under five minutes before I went into the key config menu and changed everything to how it was in Mass Effect 1.Mr.Kusy wrote...
My main issue with Mass Effect 2 was that it compleatly changed the controlls from ME1 for some reason that eludes my comprehension, and also they made the controlls less intuitive. I never really cried about the graphics, with exception of hideous closeups on Tali and her ultra pixelated neck.
The default controls really were horrid and I can't see why Bioware liked them.

This is not the same, what they did was implement Dx11. We are not asking for Dx11, we are simply asking them to hand us over the larger textures for the main characters, possibly NPC's and enemies if possible.GreenSoda wrote...
EA probably thinks it's not worth the trouble. They did it for DA2...it introduced crashes and stuttering (imperfect DX implementation) for PC gamers, which led to the need of additional bughunting and -fixing. A lot of headache for no measurable impact sales-wise.

See you guys already made a great point. If they're so lazy they could just release the textures and let the modders take care of everything else. This has nothing to do with the console version having more profit, they lose nothing by doing this.
Unless they made you pay for the texture pack :/

Your best bet is to PM one. Who to pm, however, I have no idea.
