Hey op you are right! Sooooo many things that the demo does not show, perhaps they do not exist! Here, a few more!

- there's no inside of the normandy!!! Perhaps it does not exist!

- there is no import shepard option!

- there is no galaxy map !!!!

- you can't choose your squadmates!!!!!

- the story is linear and wildly jumpy, straight from earth to surkesh!!

- there is no romance!!

And worst of all,

-THERE IS NO ENDING!!!!

The demo is sorely lacking in all of these, it must mean the game is too!

BIOWARE Y U NO ANSWER TO MEEEEEEEE?

Continue deluting yourself. As the leaked beta clearly shows, the cut content does not contain more "choice" than the official demo. It has more cutscenes, more scripted dialogue and an (ONE) investigate-option (with a full investigate-wheel) when meeting a certain someone from Mass Effect 1 (if he survived).

And a German magazine published a preview of the Intro and Mars-Mission. Once you get on board the Normandy, you are directly heading to Mars for your first assignment (not much talking going on there). All in all, they sounded somewhat disappointed to me.

The leaked beta was a version of the demo. You can tell because even back then the main menu had 'Mass Effect 3 demo'.

Besides, we know that there will be dialogue and choices in ME3. The only thing thats changed significantly are RPG elements and combat, which the demo shows off. We don't need weapon customization, because its pretty obvious how it works. Something like combat though needs to be tried out first hand, which is the purpose of the demo - to show off the gameplay.

I used the correct word (to delude=to deceive), what you are thinking is "dilution".

I never doubted that there will be dialogue and choices (just not to the degree I wished). If you can choose between two dialogue options, then you are having a choice, but it is not what RPGers wished for and certainly not what we got in ME 1 and 2.

And scripted dialogue is dialogue, too. But not what RPGers expect. We only get to explore a canon-Shepard predefined by Bioware instead of building, forming our own Shepard.

Yup. Regardless of what other elements may usually be present gameplay, in this case combat, comes first.

proof that ME2 was better on PS3? how bout all the reviews and comparison vids :P

That's just because it was made for PS3 year later. They had ME3 tech on their hands. :)

And it shouldn't need explaining that in the main game there will be a lot more dialogue choices with more than two options. Thats obvious.

There has been plenty of scripted dialogue in both games. ME1 had loads of choices where each option lead to Shepard saying the same thing, which is essentially the same as scripted dialogue.

Besides, Shepard is partly predefined by Bioware regardless. Regardless of what you the player want to do, Shepard cannot be evil - they are always trying to save the galaxy. Your Shepard's history, apart from minor events, is set in stone. Shepard is always rather pleased to see old squadmates - see Liara, Tali, Garrus and Wrex in ME2.

In order to tell a good story, the protagonist must be defined to some extent beyond the player's control. This isn't like Skyrim where your character is a blank slate.

Besides, the 'RPGers' have been calling for more things like weapon customization and expanded loot options. The people calling for more dialogue are the people like me  and, preusmably, you - people more iinterested in the story and choices than how much of a traditional RPG it is.

If BioWare was really angry at Microsoft they would not put Kinect/Avatar and many reward exclusive to XBox only.

I dont want less Dialogue options I want what we had in Mass Effect 2, A dialouge wheel in almost every situation. The only time we didn't have one (from my memory) was the start of the Suicide mission and it was like 2 lines. They surpassed that all ready in the start of the Mass Effect 3 demo. Now this could be because of the Micosoft size limit, but if it isn't Mass Effect is headed in the wrong direction.

In Mass Effect: Auto Dialouge=Bad Dioaluge and More Options the better. IMHO

i've said before,
1. this "single person" was part of a larger company, blame for his actions still go to his supervisors and his supervisors supervisors, leading to pretty being the companies fault

2. Bioware have this before, it hurt them because a lot of their hard work that wasnt even finished was shown to the world to be judged. the people who have read the leak and not liking where the game was going will probably not want to buy the game, effecting Biowares sales. Bioware hurt emotionally and business wise

3. the demo wasnt exactly what i was pointing too. a lot of the codes that are coming with the art book and what not, may already be included in the ps3 version of the game, or put onto the Playstation store for a mere $1 or $2 instead of having to spend $20 on a book or figurine

which i have stated in this forum already, which you obviously missed. meaning no new points, meaning invalid Posted Image

1. "part of a larger company" is not the same thing as a company deliberately doing something like that. BW knows this. Apparently you don't. If you have a sixteen-year-old son and he robs a liquor store, will you be charged and jalied? Of course not. While it may have been your responsibility to keep your son out of trouble, the law (and BW in my application) understands that the actions of subordinates are not always aproved of by their "bosses."

2. First off, what does "Bioware have this before" mean? I really have no idea what you're saying there.
And as for their hard work being shown off before it was finished, this game was initially planned to come out in December of last year. Then it was pushed back. It wasn't pushed back because they needed to change the script, it was pushed back for multiplayer. The script is accurate, or at least was before BW saw the sh*tstorm and changed things.

3. "May have." That's not proof, not even in the slightest. I could just as easily say that, since we PC players are being saddled with Origin, BW is going to give us modding help and a toolset, and a DirectX 11 graphics compatability. That has just as much validity as what you're saying--there's no proof.

1. this in has nothing to do with the law. its business, which have obviously never been apart of. that father oh which you speak will still be taking blame from the community, neighboors, and so on for his bad parenting. same as a business, if one man makes a mistake, the company does take some blame

2.sorry, computer lagged out. it meant to say "bioware has said this before". also how do you know that it was pushed back for multiplayer, hm? do you work at Bioware? and even if they did, Multiplayer is worked on by Bioware Montreal studios. so the Studio behind the Single Player has done nothing since December is wat your saying?

3.the proof will be there when the game is released. wat people seem to forget is that a Blu-Ray disc can hold a lot more than a DVD disc. ex. Battelfield 3 being 2 disc on xbox 360 and 1 on PS3. and as i've read, more games are continuing this (being multiple discs on 360)

This. Couldnt help but notice a few pauses in the demo where it seems like there would be more dialoug choices but instead just chose for you.

It's like people need constant hand holding and reassurance around here. "I didn't see this in the demo, are we sure it's in the final game?!?"

I guess no one can just wait and play the game when it comes out. They need a 1000 point list of features, all of which has been triple confirmed by high ranking Bioware officials and carved in stone just for good measure.

Not a direct shot at the OP but God damn what a needy community.

Yeah, It's kinda obvious. Anyone with half a brain should be able to see
that and accept it before going "Bwaaah this game is gonna suck just
look at how short the mid-game levels are and they removed all the
dialogue and everything, this isn't mass effect etc etc!!!"

I mean in my day we made reviews AFTER the game was out, nowdays people seem to make them based on speculations at best. People just need to cool their jets, go outside and do something else for a while and then come back when the game is released.
