If it were me, I'd have *at least* Miranda and Legion. They were arguably the most plot-important ME2 squad members. Toss them in with the ME3 squad, maybe replace Tali, and we're GTG.

I like the six we got but I do think that 8 would have been a more ideal squad size. And if there were two slots left I think Miranda and Legion would be the best choices to fill them, for the reason you listed. Also both probably survived most peoples ME2 playthroughs.

I'd honestly rather have Miranda, since there's a glaring lack of Sentinels on the squad if Kaidan is dead (And people kill Kaidan far more than Ashley).

Come to think of it, there aren't any Vanguards on the ME3 squad, aren't there?

There is. Trust me biotics are covered well.

There's Liara, who's an adept, and Spoiler #1, who doesn't seem to have any Vanguard powers, just generic biotics.

I believe it would be best to leave the Bioware Social Network now. As this complaint, unlike the cycle of extinction, truly will be eternal.

I totally disagree with the OP, but I did want to say that I love the MST3K references in this thread!

Yep. Generic biotics. None of them terribly useful, unless you're playing on higher difficulties or are experimenting.

Plus missions with our former squad all appropriate to their character

This is bad how?

Because [insert squadmate here] is not on the squad and I romanced him or her. And [insert squadmate here] is and that is pointless fanservice.

Ja that about sums it up. I still don't understand how people miss the pure awesomeness of this squad, and the missions the other's are involved in. FYI to everyone if you meet up with Jack again take Garrus along!

Because not everyone else's personal mission is going to be super awesome. The ME3 squad honestly leaves something to be desired.

No it doesn't all the Characters are great except maybe Vega but can't judge him yet, plus what if you killed whoever and then they get replaced with someone you do like, save your complaining for the actual game.

It's really funny how people say "ME3 squad sucks blahblahblah", simply because their favorite characters aren't returning. I would have loved to have Mordin return (who else is gonna be my onboard scientist?), as well as Samara, but I'm not ****ing about it.

Characters like Legion don't have to be on the Normandy to be integral to the story, the only reason Tali is on there is fan service (are we even sure she's permanent?).

And Vega?... Well **** Vega.

I'm one of those few people who will be missing Mordin as a squadmate.

Subjectivity being passed as fact. GG. Can't argue with that.

Just so you know, the only replacements in ME3 are for the ME2 characters, which only further reduces their roles. Garrus and Tali don't get replaced by Tarrus and Gali if they died, you're down 2 slots.

I'm sorry I don't like this current squad as much as I did the ME2 squad (Even though Garrus, Liara, Vega, and Prothy are shaping up to be favorites). Shame on me for having an opinion.

Alright give it a go sometime. The third varies depending on your taste. Zaeed works well with his grenade for example.

Not having legion makes sense I don't see how he could be worked around, but that bummed me out. Personally all I wanted was a Krogan. Ok I lie I wanted a Krogan AND Urz. Just think about it outfit him with shields and he'll be just like Barkspawn except better!

These threads remind me of a WW2 political cartoon I saw where a skinny little Japanese soldier is trying to kill this huge fat Chinese soldier who's just sitting down, all the while shouting: "why won't you die!"

nothing wrong on having an opinion,  it's the fact your making a 100 threads about it that's what's so annoying about it.

I haven't made a single thread about the squad (Or any of the squads, for that matter). I've made probably 3 threads in my life on BSN. The last thread I made was "If Mass Effect was a video game in-universe".

Vega replaces Wrex as the "Tank" pretty much, because Wrex is unavailable in the plot line due to him now being the leader of all Krogans in Tuchanka (Wouldn't be surprised after Clan Werlyoc destruction and killing his 2nd in command in ME2). Tali, Garrus, Liara, Ash/Kaiden and the DLC squadmate (i won't bother having him in my squad unless he/she is fully fledged)

My theory

*Mordin is working for STG on Sur'kesh.
*Legion returned to the geth Homeworld to prepare the geth for the reaper invasion and to protect his people against the Quirans (Quarian homeworld)
*Samara returned to her duties as Justicar or Morinth returned to killing mates on omega.
*Kasaumi went back to her usual heists.
*Zaeed went to try and become the Blue Suns leader again/Get rich enough from bounty hunting to retire as a merc.
*Grunt went back to Tuchanka so he could be Wrex's 2nd in command and learn more about his people.
*Miranda and Jacob are hiding from Cerberus and the alliance (Affterall any cerberus member is considered a terroist by the council)
*Thane went to make peace with his wife and son before his death and to mediate for his end in peace without violence.

The returning ME1 cast will put down whatever they are doing for shepard =] so will pick them up along the way.
