Yep completely with you. Still feeling very angry about no option but to have both Tali & Garrus shoved down my throat again or to have an even tinier squad to the already very limited and unvaried squad.  Somehow I'm still pre-ordering though, probably need to be psycho-analsysed as to why.

Bioware mistake was thinking that most of the player base were not going to do the No man Left behind... The Suicide Mission was a mistake it was good gameplay structure in how you picked your teams but story wise it just paint them in a corner for 3.

I bet a lot of people were pissed when Wrex couldn't make it into the squad in ME2, but that boiled down eventually. The same will happen here.

Plus there's the whole "Every single one of them can die" thing in the suicide mission.

And that is why endings such as those are typically done at the end of the series, not the middle.

I hope the list in the OP isn't the final tally. Granted on most of my playthroughs I used primarily Tali and Grunt (or grunt/Legion) I liked almost all the characters. I didn't play ME1 because I don't own an xbox so the ME2 cast is all i really knew. I liked Miranda and Jacob but almost never used them in my active squad so wont really miss them not being there. I really liked Moridin as well. For some reason he just amused the hell out of me.

We don't know that for certain since we haven't played the game.

Probably wouldn't work in ME3 as ME2's character development relied a lot on the game's integral loyalty and recruitment missions which won't be present in ME3 (at least not to the same degree).

Bwhahaha....seriously this speaks the truth. I'm the Shepard shaking my head wondering if I can just shoot them all and get it overwith. Except Tali and Garrus. I think they are the only people I'm really all that excited about in my squad again. They did too good of a job in making the squad central to the story in 2 people got attached.
