[XX55XX]

It appears that the current makeup of the ME3 squad is comprised of the following:

1. Ashley/Kaiden
2. Tali
3. Liara
4. James
5. Garrus
6. Prothean guy
7. EDI 

So, what about everyone else? What happened to the people we "recruited"? Wasn't creating a highly effective team of individuals with which to fight the Reapers the whole point of recruiting them in the first place?

Of course, while I do undertstand that BioWare wants to preserve decisions made as a result of the suicide mission, it seems silly that not everyone is being kept as a squadmate. For example, what about the squadmates that don't have a place to go, like Grunt, or Jack, or Jacob?

But, nothing has been confirmed yet, but I am personally really disappointed that Mordin won't be returning to the squad in particular. He was the only new guy from ME2 I really gave a crap about, and it's a pity that he probably won't be a squadmate.

Many of them are significant plot characters, if they're alive.

Some join the squad temporarily.

The ME2 crew wasn't really gathered to fight the Reapers.. it was implied but never really outright confirmed.

I would also love Mordin to return, but characters don't have to be on the Normandy to be integral to the story.

@bold- Don't ever post crap like that again. This logic is nonsense. The other ME2 characters can die, but Garrus and Tali are given get out of jail free cards. The only penalty for killing them in ME2 is that you're down 2 slots in the squad, both of which are filled by other characters. Generic turian #2897 and Generic quarian #1972 replace them in their personal side missions.

Jack's in , EDI's in (art book), Kai Feng was giving alot of attention (for just a NPC or boss) could be possible in. I honestly want Legion back.

Tali not being alive actually presents...obstacles...during the Geth/Quarian mission.

Sadly this is the true reason,
Also Why would Bioware waste time and effert on bringing back the ME2 cast as permanet squadies and crew members when they would rather waste their time and effort creating things like Action Style playing, Role Play Style, and Story Style, and added a Mutliplayer to the game mode,
After all Bioware are going to give their fans the best game they can.
WE Fans would much rather have things like Action style game playing, Role Play Style, Story style, and a Multiplayer component,  than have Permenent Squadies and crew from ME2 back?

Rofl, and the OP seems to believe you...

Jack isn't a squadmate, none of the ME2 exclusive squadmates are (and this is based on the script)
Kai Feng...never heard of him, long lost twin of Kai Leng?

Not bad at all imo. I'll still miss them all (with the exception of the Cerberus duo) but am regardless definitely very happy with how it's worked out.

Doubt Kai Leng's a squadmate though, he's almost certainly bound to be Shep's main physical rival.

If this is true then it's the best news I've heard about ME3 since well I don't remember the last time I heard anything this good. IF Jack is back as a squadie I'd love it if this is true. I doubt it and know it's not

Damn, I wanted to take her to Miranda's mission. Those two really needs a closure to her differences in ME2 (I know being friends might fe impossible but I want them to be in good terms).

Jack isn't a squadmate.

She's just too epic to not be in their artbook.

Her design could appeal to many artists in my opinion because of her tattoo's and such (might be a unique thing to draw).

Not only that, apparently if you import a ME2 game where they died, they won't get replacements or even generic placeholder engineer/inflitrator squadmembers in ME3. So your ME3 gameplay experience is disproportionately ****ed.

Why disproportionately? Because every other 'choice' you make in ME2/ME1 doesn't even have that big of an impact. Rachni Queen still shows up no matter what you do. Killing Samara/Mordin means jack sh!t in ME3 because they'll have placeholders.

Having no replacements for Tali/Garrus is fan wanking to the extreme. If you look closely at the lips of Tali/Garrus fans, you can find dried up BW spunk on them.
