In my opinion:

1. Liara shouldn't have been a squad mate, because she is the Shadow Broker and that would have taken most of her time.
2. Tali & Garrus shouldn't have been squad mates because they've already had 2 games.
3. The protheans should have remained dead.
4. EDI is an awful concept altogether.
5. Replace Liara/Tali/Garrus with 2-3 ME2 squad mates (Miranda and Mordin come to mind).
6. Replace Prothean with a batarian.
7. Replace EDI with Legion.

So many ME3 squad haters lol
The only changes I'd make is to add Legion and thats pretty much it.

Except Tali and Garrus. I think they are old firends for Shepard, they earned their place.

I...don't know what to think, considering you're the same guy who started the Tali fan thread.

Personally I'd be happier if Tali & Garrus had replacements in ME3 if they died in ME2. And EDI + Vega didn't exist.

wait, so is Jack a squadmate? I'm just wondering will I just have one squadmate less then, because Jack died in Mass Effect 2 in my game and also is there really a prothean guy too :o

Pretty happy with the squad. Only change I would've made is add Miranda, but that's just me being biased, since I love Yvonne (Miranda's V.A.)

Oh, and I doubt Jack is a squadmate.

Jack is not a squadmate. Where do people get this idea? She has her own side mission, I'm guessing.

Maybe Jack is the DLC? Who knows.

From what i've heard, Aria will be the download character and not the prothean, since he is very pivital to the storyline.

People are assuming she's a squad mate because she's in the artbook under "allies" (along with Anderson).

But the leak script has neither as squad mates, so unless they've changed something big (doubtful), Jack and Anderson are simply not squad mates.

No, characters who could die, are very unlikely to get their own DLC.
That is, from a business stand-point.
But for all the ME2 squadmates, it would be amazing.

Anderson is a temporary squadmate and very likely has a somewhat similar role as TIM in ME2.
Even Admiral Hackett could be there.

As I understand, Jack is also a temporary squad mate during her mission.

No they didn't earn their place and they are not friends to everyone's Shephards. If they were going to have ME2 squaddies on the team they should have at the least made a more varied choice of characters rather than just the ME1 ones.

Then why give her such a huge redesign and put tons of work in to her outfit?
There are also the renders in the artbook similar to the squadmates renders in he ME2-artbooks.
Does Miranda or Thane have their own page on the allies page, or a huge redesign?

Also, There has actaully been at least one NOTABLE change to the script:

Thane´s mission.
It was described in an issue of the OMX-magazine, as a mission to *spoilers* rescue some hanar scientist looking for a cure to Thane´s disease.

I hear it was different in the script.

Because she's developed more strongly than the other ME2 squad mates. I imagine her redesign is to reflect that - particularly in the context of becoming more "mature" and being a figure for the biotic kids she teaches. There's also the fact that so many people on the forums made a big deal about Jack having or not having hair.

Miranda has her own page in the artbook. I believe Thane does as well (Jacob and Tali have a page, even though they didn't seem to get redesigned in ME3), but I'm not sure.
Miranda has a slight redesign in ME3, probably to represent the harrowing situations she's going through.

The thing with Thane isn't nearly large enough as adding an entire full squad mate (Jack) - and a love interest at that.

This is just speculation on my part, but maybe her new look somehow fits in with her story. No, I don't know how, I'm just guessing here.

Honestly, I'd HATE for Jack to be a squadmate... that doesn't even make a lot of sense. Why, out of ALL the new characters in ME2, would they pick Jack to keep? Characters like Mordin, Legion and Miranda have way more potential to contribute to the main plot than Jack (again, speculation... for all I know Jack is the key to the Galaxy's survival... prolly not though).

As for the redesign? Hell... maybe they just want to show off a change in her personality with a change in her design. Maybe they got complains about it. Maybe they weren't happy with it. Maybe it's perfectly reasonably explained in the game. I could go on, but my point is that a redesign does not a squadmate make.

Ofcourse they changed her hair, cause Ashley has it now.
