My profile seems to be updating, even if stupidly slow (eg. first character I ever made is still showing at level 14 when he's finished the main story at level 19, yet other toons are showing correct levels -wtf much?  O.o).

My UPC code still refuses to register me on this site and frankly I'm getting tired of wasting my time with this crap.

Will it matter if I use an American CE UPC code to register or is this going to be fixed or what?

My code is apparently 030941085052 btw, least that's what is shown on the barcode on the back of the box.<_<

I had trouble registering my America CE edition. Jesse Van Herk was able to help me out. You might want to shoot him a message.

I am having the same problem. I am about to give up on it because there is no reason that this should be this hard.

You don't register your UPC code do you? .. you register with the code on the back of the booklet that came with your game. It's a 5 digit code... It's been awhile since I registered and I don't remember doing anything with the UPC code.. but I'm forgetful when it comes to things like that.

That seems like a goofy way to register since all you would have to do is go to a store, pick up a game and write down a UPC code.

To register on this site, you need to use the UPC code. The code on the back of the book is to register with EA.

Indeed.. a very goofy way to register. That should be changed. I understand why they would want people to somehow verify their game to keep out the trolls and moles but you would think they would at least have made it the same code that's all snug and secure on the inside of the game.. not plastered on the back that is readily available for all to see.

Do you guys get any error messages like "this product is already registered" or anything? or does it just take you back to the register screen and act as if you messed up your number.

I'm having the same issue with my US edition of the game, it says the UPC code is not valid for this game. It's the one DIRECTLY under the Bar code right ??

I figured it out To the left and right of the bar code is also a number and then you have the number directly underneath the bar code, you have to enter the numbers from left to right including the ones a bit away from the bar code.

That's good.. I was just wondering if it was the full 12 digits or just the 10 middle ones.  Of course the Op posted 12..

I have entered the number directly below the bar code many times with and without a space and it keeps telling me my code is invalid. I have also tried the EA registration code just in case and that doesnt work either. I will give Starsunders suggestion a shot when i get home tonight.

Strange things also happens when you try to register in IE8. Keeps returning to the "you have to be logged in" screen. After switchin' to Opera everything worked fine.

Thank You!  I hate to admit how long I have been trying to enter the 10 numbers.  I didn't even notice the ones on each end.  Thank you many times.

Good news for the Aussies out there.

I got a message from Jesse Van Herk, he said to put the 5 sitting on the left of the outside of the bar code in front of 030941085052, so the number is 5030941085052.

I had previously already tried this but it had not worked, so it seems the Australian Collector's Edition uses 13 numbers to register with.

Please note that the American UPC code is different to the Australian/other country UPC codes so it would probably work out best if you google for your own country's UPC code (or ask about it on these forums).

The UPC registration itself is just to determine who has what version I believe, not to single out who owns which copy of every game sold, this is why multiple people can use the same code with no known issues, just an fyi. =]

Yep, I've followed the steps for the Oz code and it still does not register?

Not sure what is going on:

1. Proflie->Register Game-> (360) it says to click to register
2. When I look at Your registered games in my profile it comes up as 360 with all my CE bonuses. So does that mean I'm registered?

If it shows your games in the MY GAMES section I would assume that you are registered... are you saying that you can't post in some of the forums?  If that's the case then try clearing out all your cookies or logging out and then back into the site.  If that doesn't work then maybe the forum takes a while to update.  They are having lots of forum issues.. and issues with the site.. and lots of other issues.... I'm sure before they are through fixing the site some of the people working on the site will have mental issues.
