Uhhh, absence of evidence isn't evidence of absence.

So their won't be trial then. Well that really sucks. But something in the back of my head sounded off alarms when the tweet was made in September. Hopefully they spiced things up a bit by then, so to speak.

Well I'm sure most of us sane people know that. I know the intro with the leaked demo is even different and longer.  Some people just want confirmation. Might have to get the confirmation by just old fashion waiting.

saw videos from youtube - PC here-, so I haven't played yet.

I wouldn't have a problem if for any reason this is the intro we get in final. Everything can be explained on the Normandy.

The only thing I found weird is the omni-blade. Anderson gives Shepard a pistol, so he can have a weapon. When was the omniblade activated?

People think it's rushed because they seem to think that Shep has only been on Earth for a short time.

BUT a trial has taken place, Shep has been on Earth for AT LEAST a month. AT LEAST.

So taking that into account, it's not rushed at all.

what does matter the time he's in Earth? there's apparently no backstory whatsoever, that's why we think is rushed.

Arrival?

Nor did we see the comic or the intro explaining the events up to ME3.
Edit: Or an import screen.!.

Arrival is not part of ME3 -also imo it has been stated that there will be no comic this time arround. They will sum up the previous events in a different manner.

So?

Did people complain about a lack of info on how Saren found Sovereign, then argue that Revelations didn't count because it wasn't part of Mass Effect?

It's funny how we read people saying things like "this is a WAR! do you expect the Reapers to wait around in space while Shepard walks around" in reference to our concerns about it feeling rushed. what they are doing is missing the point; there is no build-up, no tension, no drama. the devs can make the Reapers show up anytime! why the hell can't shepard have some meaningful, interesting conversations with Vega, Anderson and Ash/Kaiden while waiting to be called into the hearing. Give us some context, give us something to help us understand what we've missed - that's all we're asking for.

It's like the game starts, shepard is rushed to the hearing, bam bam two lines of dialogue, Reapers show up, boom boom, start shooting things. it's like, where did BioWare's awesome sense of pacing go? they used to be the king's of this kind of stuff.

You're missing the point here completely. It might have been a month, it might've been a year, but we have no indication that it has been because we haven't experienced any of it. Hell, there isn't even any mention of it. It feels rushed because the pacing is completely whack; like the entire intro exists purely to hurry us along to the shooting and explosions.

If that's the case, then why can't someone just pop into one of these threads and release it publicly?

Scared of BSN's reaction, perchance?

God that makes me feel like I'm about to explode with nerd-rage. I'm just gonna walk away from this one. If this is any indication, ME3 is going to be a giant P.o.S.

No.

It's a demo. Bioware wants to show us the action in the demo; not the beginning of the game.
