[Mike Shepard]

Shepard defeated Sovereign, Shepard defeated the Collectors [with help of course]. Shepard will be in command of the Normandy. If not, Ash/Kaidan wouldn't say "welcome back sir/welcome back ma'am" when Shep reaches the Normandy in the intro. it'd just be "Welcome back, Shepard."

But seriously--Shepard will be in command. He has risked life and limb to stop the reapers, he's the only one to talk to two reapers. He will be in charge.

Nah, the real reason is that this forum would explode if they put anyone other than Shepard in charge.

Remember how in ME2, you couldn't do jack on your "own" ship if TIM wanted you to do something? Yeah, it's been a while since Shepard has actually been in command of a ship.

I really doubt this is going to be an issue with the VS, but it doesn't matter. If the plot dictates that Shepard isn't really in command, that's how it will be.

   Normandy is an alliance ship again so it will come down to rank. Ashley is a Lt Commander same rank as Shepard, but Shepard has had more years as an Lt Commander so he would be in charge.
   Now Kaidan is a Major, which means Bioware will most likely go down one of 2 routes. First route they have a power struggle story in which Kaidan tries to take control. The second route will be that they play the experience card. Where because Shepard has more experience commanding the Normandy and fighting Reapers Kaidan will let Shepard be in control.

I tell you this if the VS start acting like they are in charge Kaiden will die. Shepard was always in charge of the SR 2 in ME 2 and is in ME 3. the SR 2 was given to Shepard by TIM in 2 and it was stolen from him by the alliance in 3 . that ship belongs to shepard . you VS fan driods might want the stupid VS to challeneg Shepard but after what they did in 2 . They better shut the hell up

really you want to deal with the bull sh*t alliance rank that Bioware made. first off the ranks in game are garbage since they are not even correct . If there is a power struggle the VS will die in my game . I and many others have had just about enough these 2 ass clowns .
