I'd love to see Shepard knocked off his high horse (and all the ego-loaded players with him)

I don't know, I kind of like sitting on high horses Lotion. And I think you too.

If it turns out she is in charge, you ain't doin' jack because she's in charge.  But fret ye not, as I'm sure your and others fragile egos will be accomodated by the devs.

Oh you say we won't I be dammed I will find any all ways to murder Kaiden in ME 3 if he steals my ship again . but one thing is for sure the VS will meet the end in 3 if Bioware wants to play the ME 2 hate game with them in 3

If she tries to take my ship she's not going to leave Earth. She'll get the Mass Effect 2 intro treatment, throw out of a ship plummeting towards a planet with no air supply. Only she won't have Cerberus to rebuild her.

Normandy is an alliance ship again so it will come down to rank. Ashley is a Lt Commander same rank as Shepard, but Shepard has had more years as an Lt Commander so he would be in charge.
Now Kaidan is a Major, which means Bioware will most likely go down one of 2 routes. First route they have a power struggle story in which Kaidan tries to take control. The second route will be that they play the experience card. Where because Shepard has more experience commanding the Normandy and fighting Reapers Kaidan will let Shepard be in control.

really you want to deal with the bull sh*t alliance rank that Bioware made. first off the ranks in game are garbage since they are not even correct . If there is a power struggle the VS will die in my game . I and many others have had just about enough these 2 ass clowns .

I'm not saying what I want to see; I'm saying what I think Bioware will try to do. Also I know the Alliance rank is a broken system. If you want my true opinion on what I wanted to see, well then it would be that Ashley was a lieutenant and Kaidan Lt Commander, and that's being generous I feel Bioware ranked up the VS way too fast for being realistic.

Yes, she will leave Earth.  You don't have a choice in the matter.  Go watch the intro level on Youtube.

An easy way to solve the problem people seem to have with Ashley being the same rank as Shepard and Kaidan outranking him/her would be for Admiral Anderson to give Shepard a promotion. I know some have said Anderson could only recommend Shepard but what about a battle field promotion, we are at war in the game after all so battle field promotion would work and even fit the story. It's happened in the past and I don't see why it couldn't happen in the future.

What's all this stuff about high horses? Pegasus?
Anyway, I am Commander Shepard, I saved the Citadel from Saren, the Geth and sovereign, I have been transformed into a Cyborg with unnatural strength, I stopped the Collectors, I killed the Shadow Broker, I blew up a damn Star System. etc, I am a goddamn legend on two legs and I will bloody well act like it.
Anyone try and take over my ship? I laugh in their faces and pistol whip them.

Say what you want, Shepard is a badass, he is a total Mary Sue and everyone wants to be him. And he sure as hell won't be under the command of some Alliance dimwit.

Yes I agree on a promotion for Shepard, but the problem is Kaidan would still be a rank above Shepard.

If that's gonna be the case.

I can imagine a scene similar to one in the movie Pirates 3, where Sparrow and Barbosa continuously try to captain the ship at the same time, competing by trying to yell louder than the other.

Now imagine Shepard and Ashley competing when running the Normandy...

How about Bioware does the right thing and fix the stupid alliance ranks , and give Shepard the proper rank of Commander and I am not talking about Lt Commander neither . thats how you fix it . because there is no way in hell a superior officer can be the same rank of his squad member .  Its just flat out wrong and stupid . If those clowns can jump the VS up 4 ranks in a year they can dam sure fix Shepard's rank

No he would'nt if Shepard had the proper rank of Commander and since he is also cpatain of the SR 2 there is no way in hell kaiden out ranks him .

Yup, it is not like you have any choices at most points in the game.  If they don't decide this is a choice point you just watch the show and you can't do anything about it other than breaking your controller and selling the game back to gamestop.

I have to admit vs jumping 4 ranks in a year and shepard not going up one rank after saving the galaxy twice does seem a bit off.

So was Liara's writing in the vanilla game until LOTSB

Ash acts like a child on horizon (I'm not about to start a debate about it) but at this point I could care less about the character

Not until, IF and when.  They already did that in ME1 they might not do it with the same character in ME3.

Oh the whole story of the Mass Effect games has been bad writing but what can you expect from a ****** poor wanna be Star Wars and Star Trek franchise that wishes it had half the interesting stories that were told in those 2 Sci Fi iconic ips . Plus aliens invading earth is nothing new  in fact War of The Worlds first told this same storie . Ken Johnson's V mini Series in the 80's told it and in a much more emotional and scarier way .

As long as they don't interfere with Shepard's mission(s)/operation(s) what does it matter who commands the Normandy?

Isn't Shepard better suited for being the overall mission commander than any particular ship's commanding officer any way?

It is simply unbelievable. Same with Spectre status tbh. But obviously that's how Bioware writes stories. Known characters comming back in more important roles. For ... connection of whatever. I honestly want to know how and in which military someone can jump ranks like Ashley did in two years ... whatever pointless ranting, what's done is done. I don't care if she'd be Admiral. She'd still not have more command over Shepard than ... say ... Anderson or Udina. I just think it's stupid, pointless, not even imporant enough to make a fuss over ...
