i am currently playing Lair of the shadowbroker on insanity with an infiltrator shepard(sniper rifle/incinerate/invisibility cloak/geth shields boost); what would be the best strategy to defeat her?

Uh, try and anticipate where she'll be, and if necessary, use a submachine gun rather than a sniper.

Then again, I've never played on insanity. So what I suggested may not help.

Use incinerate (very handy against barrier) just after she charges. Use your SMG against barrier.

I never found her that difficult a boss to defeat. Just tedious with non-Vanguard classes.

There's no greater satisfaction when beating Vasir than to out-Vanguard a Vanguard.

I was just sad that I could choose to face here 1 on 1 instead of ganging up on a wounded fellow spectre like a coward. Yes she was corrupt, killed civilians and took a hostage (who knows what she would have done if she was not outnembered?), but still, I would preferred to fight her Wrex vs Aleena style.

I trust you can ignore the vanguard wanking OP. Infiltrators rule. Couple of things? Do you have the Widow? That will make a difference.
Otherwise USE your squadmates. I had Kasumi- Master Shadow Strike does a good bit of damage. Liara for biotics. Assassination cloak+ Widow headshot. I didn't even have to switch weapons. You can also use HW. I prefer the Collector Particle Beam. Otherwise keep to cover and keep moving. Ammo clips respawn on the floor, you're gonna need them.
