Does your module extend the Single Player campaign or is it a standalone module?

- If it is extends the Single Player campaign then you will probably have to create a PRCSCR script to integrate it with the Single Player campaign. To test it you have to start a new Single Player campaign, or use an existing save, and play up to the point your module becomes available. For example for the Community Contest #7 you had to reach Denerim in order to access the new Job Board we placed there.

- If it is a standalone module then make sure you have defined the Starting Area and Starting Waypoint in the Module Properties and then export at least one of your resources again (with or without dependants). To test it you have to go to the Other Campaigns list and select it.

Open your starting area in the Toolset, right click on the ground where you want to create the starting point and select Insert Waypoint. Select the waypoint you just created and change its Tag property to something unique and recognisable, for example, "wp_module_start".

Save your area then open the Module Properties again and select your waypoint from the drop-down list of waypoints in Starting Waypoint.

This should also be covered in the Area Tutorial.

Unfortunately the Builder-to-builder process is intended to transfer design resources between two different database (usually between two different computers). If you try to use it to "copy" resources from one module to another in the same database it will add a suffix to the name of each of your resources to ensure they are unique. If this causes you problems should then be able to check in and delete the original version from your original module and then check in and rename the new version in your new module.

Alternatively you might be able to simply check in your resources, open up the Resource Properties and change the Module and Owner Module to your new module. Admittedly I've never tested this approach: but it should work in theory!

However I suspect that either way all you will achieve is spend a lot of time to create another module that won't load. My advice would be to keep trying to fix your original module.

" to create another module that won't load. My advice would be to keep trying to fix your original module."
But it is work. I really don't know why first mod not- the both are similar.

As I said (and that message confirms) you have to check in the resources before you can change their properties.

Additionally since I have now had a chance to test this in order you have to do the following:

1. Create or open your new module
2. Select File > Manage Module from the menu bar
3. Select you new module (if not already selected) and click the Hierarchy ... button
4. Check the check box next to your original module
5. Click the OK button to close the Module Hierarchy window
6. Click the Close button to close the Manage Module window

This now allows you to see all of your original module's resources in your new module. You may find it useful to go to the All palette (that's the last icon in the palette toolbar) and check in any resources that are currently checked out. The resources that belong to your original module should now look like this: Image IPB

7. Select all the resources you created for your original module
8. Right-click on one and select Properties from the context menu
9. Select the name of your new module from the Module and Owner Module lists
10. Click the OK button.

The resources that used to belong to your original module should now look like this: Image IPB

11. Select File > Manage Module from the menu bar
12. Select you new module (if not already selected) and click the Hierarchy ... button
13. Uncheck the check box next to your original module
14. Click the OK button to close the Module Hierarchy window
15. Click the Close button to close the Manage Module window

If you have done things correctly then all the resources from your original module will have been transferred to your new module. If you have missed any resources you will get some error messages saying resources are missing. Don't panic! Click through the error messages and then repeat steps 2 to 15 paying closer attention to any resources you may have missed.
