If North Americans get ME3 on 6/3 but Europeans on 9/3, will Europeans still have enough time to save the Earth?

The UK is a nice place as long as you're not English.

(oh sorry it's not politically correct to say 'English' anymore is it EU?)

Yorkshireman First, English Second, British (not for long) third, European Never!

Because England isn't the only country that is part of UK, that's why. UK or British is not the posh word for England, UK/Britain represents 4 different countries! It's like calling American people Canadian, or calling Chinese people Japanese. As someone who lives in Scotland, which is part of UK but is not part of England, it pisses off Scottish people. Scotland is not another part of England.

I was hoping this would be avoided.

Don't worry that is all I have to say on the matter. It's not my job to educate people on Geography, it just tells me the sad state of your schools! Image IPB

Misplaced as it was, since the poster she was originally responding to appears to have been English.

Actually, I think she IS making a dig at the English. Sounds like she's Scottish from her whole "pissed off" thing.

Proof that thinking your schools are better than the other guy's is not restricted to Europe to America, I suppose.

Actually, I half English and half Malay, but grew up in Scotland, so I pretty much have an identity crisisImage IPB Growing up here, I've learnt to be empathtic towards Scotland. As Scotland is my home, it is annoying and funny when I tell people I live in Scotland, and then they say "Is that in England?". *shakes head*

According to that, only the US, Belize and Canada use MDY, the rest use either the chinese way (YMD) or the European way (DMY). Also it lists Canada as actually using all three. So technically it's only the US and
Belize that solely uses MDY.

Not sure what your point was?

As a Canadian, you would NOT belive how this messes us up.

It has got tot he point that many times, if the day is 12 or less, the proper way to write the date is actually to write it out, 12th of Feb, '12 for example since many a time, you're dealing with all 3 date forms in the same situation

I usually refer to England as the English region, but once I start talking about Wales or Scotland I generally say UK, or their respective countries.  I had quite a few friends from the UK, most of them either hated everyone, the English, or themselves.

Why do I remember learning YMD in the military more than MDY?

But to be fair... that is not the fault of the English.... We don't do that, other countries do that and it annoys us too...

I know exactly where I am, where Scotland, NI and Wales are... And actually as an English person have explained to several friends that I there is not really such a thing as a *British* accent as defined by people from other countries when talking about how we speak... my accent is English not British... there is no accent in the UK that can be used to define a British accent :P

I can usually point out English Accents as opposed to Scottish or Welsh accents.  Where as I find it a little more difficult to point out Canadians (unless they're french or Western Canadian) to Americans.  Not to mention there is the group of Canadians who get mad at being mistaken for being called American, and most of the Americans I talk to don't care if someone thought they were Canadian.

So, is that in England? And have you seen Nessie?

I personally blame the French and British who sailed across the arse-backwards meridian on their way to the new world. That's the reason the rest of the world wasn't affected by emdeewhy.

These seperate release dates always REALLY aggrevate me. I understand that the european version needs language support for several different countries whereas the US version only needs the english language.

The question is: why do us Brits have to wait? England/Scotland/Wales/Ireland all speak english too. So why not just give us the US version?? I don't mind that you guys spell 'colour' without the 'u' or call 'lifts' 'elevators.' Means the same thing to me.

You Europeans are all racists. It's because of the Swahili language support for Africa. And EA knows that Africa is part of the EU.

Could have something to do with the NTSC & PAL regional compatibility, which the Xbox still uses. Probably need some time to convert the game to the PAL system. That's what I think, but I'm not sure.

NTSC & PAL should not be an issue with the PC version. PC doesn't have those limitations as monitors Hz rate can range from 24hz to 240hz. PAL is usually 50hz whereas NTSC is usually 60Hz. A PC could do either of those just by moving the slider bar in the Nvidia or AMD control panel.

reposting from previous page.

its not conversion.  especialy since once the game goes gold, its vbasicaly doen, manufactured, etc etc.

TLDR version - its an outdated tradition that never got changed, even though circumstances no longer apply.

long version - bellow

the reason why in Europe games release on friday while in US they come
out on tuesday. back in a day, games used to release on friday, US AND
Europe because honestly - it makes more sense to release entertainment
things on weekends, to give people a chance to enjoy them right away,
without having to call in sick or something.

but the thing is, in
Europe, product would be delivered directly to store, while in US it
would go to distribution center first. So Wallmart put their foot down
and told companies that because of the distribution center thing, they
need to get product earlier in - to give it time to be delivered to
stores. and so companies did. Except they don't deliver games etc to
distribution centers anymore - now they arrive directly to stores, just
like they do in Europe... but they are still shipped out on the old
dates, from the older era. which is why in US games get released 3 days
early. they arrive to stores 3 days early.

Here we go again

9/3/2012

9 = Date = 9th
3 = Month = March
2012 = Year

Europeans use the date then the month

Yeah, but you gotta understand US mentality, their way is the only way <_<

Well isn't that a lovely, incorrect generalization.
