I was in my documents and renamed a file (so no one would be noesy) and now my characters wont show up on the game. I checked inside the file I renamed, and the information and characters and stuff is still there, but I forgot the name of the file. It's not BioWare, it was like... DA:O? No idea. Did this effect it? And if I rename it back to what it was, will my characters come back?
Renamed files?

Yes, renaming caused, and will fix the problem. During the install process you get the option to use something other than the default to hold your player profile (DLC, overrides, characters, saves, screenshots, etc.) But once you've started playing, that's where the game looks for those things.
