Its just my opinion...No reason to get mad or anything...
I consider Mass Effect 2 the best videogames out there and the series as a whole one of the most unique experiences video game industry has to offer...But after the succes of Mass Effect and later Mass Effect 2...How could they make a better game? I'm all for ME3 but I fear that only two options are left: crushing under the succes of its prequels and the very high expectations or taking gaming as we know it to a new level(If you played these games you should know what I'm talking about...)The thing is I hope it'll be at least as great as ME2 but at the same time I fear that there is the possibility of failure...And failure at the end of the greatest gaming series there is...well, I don't even want to think about that...What do you think? Succes or failure?

Depends entirely on the conclusion.

You can't make an assumption without all the facts.

"I consider Mass Effect 2 to be one of the best video games out there"

Then your standards are low enough to be pleased with anything Bioware ****s on a disc, don't worry.

The game isn't released yet, but judging by the sheer number of preorders, ME3 is a success compared to ME2 and ME2 was definitely one.

ME 2 is the one of the best video games out there.  You being a hater and hating it doesn't make it a bad game.  I guess you were blind to all of the GOTY awards it got, or the meta critic score it got.

For me its all about the journey. The conclusion needs to be good, but its everything leading up to it that really makes a game imo. ME2's final boss wasn't good, despite the SM in generaly being great, but it was the stuff before the end that really made me enjoy it.

Call of Duty adds nothing new and each game gets multiple awards.

I love how negative nancies love to pass judgement against a game before it is released.

ME2 isn't perfect. It had somewhat floaty combat, some really annoying bugs, poor ai. So ME3 could improve upon those and from the looks of the demo, it certainly has. And it does that without being groundbreaking.

Both. They shall succeed at making a good game that's a good end to the series (perhaps not a great one, we've yet to see). They shall fail at making everyone happy just as all developers have.

And CoD has what to do with Mass Effect again?  Oh that is right CoD has nothing to do with Mass Effect.

I think commercial success is pretty much a guarantee given ME 1 and ME 2. Putting aside the mighty $, a lot is riding on the quality of the ending.

Lol, go replay ME1 and then we can talk about poor AI. ME2's was infinitely better.

So what you're saying is...although it may be a financial success, and although it might get great reviews, it still might not be a success?

What is success in your eyes, something that only you like?
