Then your standards are low enough to be pleased with anything Bioware ****s on a disc, don't worry.

This.

Mass Effect 3 will be mediocre or a fail.

I love how negative nancies love to pass judgement against a game before it is released.

Negative nancy? What are you, 10?

With all of your b!tching I would say that question applies more towards you.

Lol..the game isn't even out and you want a pre-based judgement?

Yeah, my topic wasn't accurate.

It hasn't gotten multiple awards since MW2, at least not any significant ones.

Quit being a hater.

LOL.

ME1 drones are hilarious to watch.

You know, I find it absolutely amazing how a series can turn the own fanbase against eachother based on the game they think is the best in the series. Truly, amazing.

Depends entirely on the conclusion.

You can't make an assumption without all the facts.

For me its all about the journey. The conclusion needs to be good, but its everything leading up to it that really makes a game imo. ME2's final boss wasn't good, despite the SM in generaly being great, but it was the stuff before the end that really made me enjoy it.

Very good point. The journey is more important, I just wrote it off because I know what to expect. Nothing other than greatness. I've enjoyed the journey immensely through the first two games, I really have a hard time believing they're going to pull an Assassin's Creed now. Especially after seeing what the demo has to offer.

ME 2 is the one of the best video games out there.  You being a hater and hating it doesn't make it a bad game.  I guess you were blind to all of the GOTY awards it got, or the meta critic score it got.

Call of Duty adds nothing new and each game gets multiple awards.

So what you're saying is...although it may be a financial success, and although it might get great reviews, it still might not be a success?

What is success in your eyes, something that only you like?

A game like Call of Duty does not deserve the rewards or reviews it gets.

This.

ME2, by any measure, is a fantastic game. It was both a critical and commercial success. It is one of the highest rated games ever.

You don't have to like it. You may even hate it. That is a perfectly valid opinion. However, saying that it is a bad game is wrong.

Its like the people that say CoD is bad. Its not. Its not innovative on any level, and is essentially the same game released 4 years ago with a couple of extra add-ons, but that still doesn't make it bad.

Not liking something doesn't make it bad. I don't particularly like the Shawshank Redemption, but I understand that it is a good film.

In certain aspects. That's a statement I expect 95% of shooter fans (yes, I'm looking at all the closet CoD gamers) to make.

Why?

Its lack of innovation means that the review scores should be a little lower than they are imo, but the gameplay is still fundamentally fantastic.

ME2 was only superior in gameplay imo.  It's story was clunkily written at best, it's new characters were superfluous and stereotypes (for the most part.  There were also good characters like Legion and Mordin who helped balence it out).  If you rule Gameplay out of the equation, ME1 was a far better story-telling vehicle than ME2 was.  The writing was better, the tone was appropriate, and the style was more unique.

I'm sorry you think it's a good game.  It's a hell of a lot of fun to play, and it looks better and plays better than ME1, but it certainly isn't good writing.

When combat is 50% of the game and ME1's combat is the most terrible kind I've played I'd expect anyone who actually wants to have fun playing the game to say that.

The most terrible kind of combat you've ever played? Must've only played like 10 games in your life.

ME1's combat is fantastic. Much more appealing than Halo or Call of Duty, in my opinion.
Not better than ME2's, but combat is not 100% of the game.

Subjective opinion.  I am not a CoD fan but saying a game doesn't deserve the awards it gets because you don't like it is petty and juvenile.  It's like hating CoD is something people on the BSN do because they think it makes them cool or something.  And why drag CoD into a conversation that has nothing to do with CoD?

Haters and whiners won't and refuse to back down.

I'll be enjoying the best game ever made in history their loss.

ME1 was horrible combat. Halo and CoD blow it out of the water.

My idea of fun as a child was playing on my SNES like anybody else currently in their twenties. Interesting you bring up childhood, though, since the vast majority of Halo and CoD fans haven't hit puberty yet.

So now you are going to try to turn this into a RPG or shooter debate?  First of all Mass Effect is a hybrid series always has been.  Guess what, guns are in Mass Effect, a game with guns is going to have shooter elements to it.  You don't like that then deal with it.
