Then your standards are low enough to be pleased with anything Bioware ****s on a disc, don't worry.
LOL.
ME1 drones are hilarious to watch.
You know, I find it absolutely amazing how a series can turn the own fanbase against eachother based on the game they think is the best in the series. Truly, amazing.
ME2 > ME1.
Thats just fact.
So now you are going to try to turn this into a RPG or shooter debate? First of all Mass Effect is a hybrid series always has been. Guess what, guns are in Mass Effect, a game with guns is going to have shooter elements to it. You don't like that then deal with it.
Graphics, story, exploration, atmosphere, music, voice acting. Somehow all of these things are left in the dust for combat? I think we all know what type of fan puts guns and combat over these: Call of Duty gamers.
In addition, ME1 is clearly more RPG driven, whereas ME2 was given the cosmetic changes to appeal more to shooters fans. Not trying to make a debate out of nothing, it's perfectly reasonable though considering.

I love both games but it seems like the people that can't get over their ME 1 nostalgia (the ones that were mad that ME 2 wasn't an ME 1 clone) are the ones always stirring up crap. Not saying that applies to everyone that preffered ME 1 but it seems like most of these crap stirrers are from the "ME 1 was better camp"

You're 100% wrong. And I'm not saying ME1 is better than ME2, either.
Games are subjective. We all have our own personal preferences. You can say the combat was better overall in ME2 due to it being tighter and more fluid, sure. But you can not say which one is the better game without it being an opinion. Sorry.

I never said it was 100% of the game but you can't just cast it aside as a small part of the game. Even in an RPG combat is important.

I doubt he can even state why ME1's combat was "so terrible." I get the sense that he's a bandwagon player. Probably played ME2 before ME1, then looked at it and was like, "WTF IS THIS ****! WHERE'S MY COVER COMBAT! FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU"
Shooter fans really are adorable.

Yes it was; you're just demonizing it to better your camps stance.
Go play MW3 for an illogical and poorly written story. Mass Effect 2's story was fine.

Actually I think MW3 has a pretty decent story but I doubt anyone here (except a minority) even have a single game other than RPG.

Based on that no matter how many mistakes they make in ME3, there will be an ME spinoff at least. The fact that Mass Effect 3 improves on every aspect from Mass Effect 2 (which sold and got more critical accailm than Mass Effect 1 by the way), should be reason enough to have better sales after release compared to previous installments. Also the marketing blitz over the last 4 days with trailers seems to be very successful. Almost all the trailers had only likes on youtube last time I checked and the same goes for early access footage from demo players.
Things are looking good for Bioware town.

Shooter fans really are adorable.
I played ME1 first.
The combat was boring, repetitive and dull. No powers were ever needed even on Insanity.
The environments were poorly designed; AI just rushed you mindlessly and provided no stimulating combat.
Enemy power usage was predicatable and easy to counter.
The game was too easy; even on Insanity.
The pacing and gunplay was poorly done, slow, and very linear.
Need I say more hater-boy?

"Man, I really like using red-colored toothpaste. What? THERE ARE PEOPLE WHO USE BLUE-COLORED TOOTHPASTE?! What a bunch of retards! Red-colored toothpaste is obviously superior to blue-colored toothpaste, which I hear Hitler always enjoyed. People who enjoy using red-colored toothpaste are morally, genetically and sexually superior to those inbred blue-colored toothpaste monkeys."
Replace 'red' with 'blue' and vice-versa to get the other side of the argument, and that's about all this boils down to.

The problem with them is that they can't get over their ME 1 nostaliga and they are so blinded by it they never gave ME 2 a chance. Since they were so mad that ME 2 wasn't ME 1 2.0 they label anyone that loves ME 2 as "CoD gamer or shooter fan" even if the person that loves ME 2 was a big fan of ME 1 as well.
BTW there is nothing wrong with being a CoD or shooter fan.

Heh, I doubt if most shooter fans decieve themselves into thinking the writing is good. People play shooters for shooting, and come to Mass Effect when they want a good story.
