So right now Jarrett is posting in a bunch of other threads, but we still cannot get an answer on this. Does that mean it's more likely or less? I don't know.
Don't they usually ignore us until they feel like it. That's the kind of mood I thought sense being here for awhile.

Frustrating. That answer from the ME twitter is a non-answer. I just don't see what they lose by simply telling us if the intro in the demo is that same as in the game. There are no spoilers involved in that.
It was like the whole thing with Deception. They were quite about it the whole time. I agree with you, whats the big secret yes or no?.

I'll say this though...after the Reapers do hit, it's fantastic.

And we're back, for those just tuning in, a startling development occured earlier today in the gaming community, a Mass Effect 3 game, highly anticipated for its high octane immersion and story, has came under fire when it was confirmed that a more elaborate introduction was canned in favour of [long static]. Already flocks of fans are clambering to their nearest game retailers to cancel their pre-orders as an act of defiance in response to this devastating news... BioWare has yet to comment on the fallout.izmirtheastarach wrote...

Yeah, it's not the end of the world. Still curious myself, though.

I've kept an attitude that's basically been the concept that Bioware has kept the overall game in mind rather than every picket idea that the majority of people keep complaining about. So long as it is not an entire inconvienance, I will continue not to care.

I haven't played the demo. But reading about it's intro here makes me think maybe BW/EA put up the action mode as demo instead of RPG mode. I would think that Action mode would not be as much as a spoiler as the RPG mode.
All three modes are available in the demo.

Have you or anyone else played all 3 mode settings? I would think demo would be alot bigger than it is with MP in it.

IMO it wouldn't matter either way. Theirs only 2 dialogue options the entire Demo. Ketchup or Mustard

Either way, there is no change in dialogue. I think the significant thing is that all these games are new games without import. We have no idea how things will play out in an import game.

Really, I'd find it extremely stupid if the game started with the Reapers showing up with absolutley no warning.

Heh heh...nobody's taking it THAT far. It's just that Shepard's wings appear to have been clipped by the Alliance, but he's still a Council Spectre hanging around on Earth for what exactly? If a trial or court-martial was never going to be the end result, then why is Shepard even on Earth?
Unless...putting Shepard on Earth was nothing more than another one of Marc's obvious plot mechanisms. <_<
Don't misunderstand me, that's not a complaint I'm making. I get it that they want to get the story moving so the player can hit the ground running. It's just that alot of us REALLY wanted an opportunity to either defend (or justify) our Shepard's actions, air our feelings on the Reaper menace, AND OF COURSE confront the game of denial that everyone has been playing with this highly dangerous situation.
We don't know for sure, but it looks like Bioware is going to deny us that moment. I hope I'm wrong.

I don't see why the committee wouldn't believe Shepard at the point ME3 starts. They've lost contact with everything beyond the Sol Relay and every conlony has gone dark by that point. It's quite clear that something is closing in on them. How could they not believe that some unknown, extremely powerful force is about to get them?

They do know. And they are scared. Hence blindly grasping at other explanations.

Do they grasp at other explanations? They'd like to think it was something else, but Shep says "Reapers," they ask "What now?" They seem to readily accept what's happening, at least for the minute or so they remain alive after.

Yes, they do. Hence why they bothered to call in Shepard to confirm what they already knew. Shepard says at much.
So when they have Shepard yelling at them, telling them this is it, they practically give up on the spot.
