And whats about all the hatred towards the me2 intro im seeing in the forums? If you hate me2 intro no way you will enjoy this one

There's hate for it? I thought that was a pretty epic intro. It starts off the game with the Normandy getting destroyed and Shepard dying. It leaves you with a "OK, what is Bioware gonna do NOW?" feeling, and it's cool to see what happens with that.

I just feel like the internet in general just likes to whine.

I think this is more about the whole entry point in Mass Effect 2 made no sense. They blew the Normandy and killed Shepard just for the sake of having a shocking start, and then picked up from where they left, making the whole death and rebirth absolutely irrelevant to the story.

maybe there will be a comic story like me2 genesis.
It doesn't only retells you're mayor decisions, but also what happened in arrival.
That's probably not in de demo, but is in the full game.
Also a good good way for recapping the story for me3 newcomers.

(sorry, english is not my native language)

See how is that a good beginning for ME3? This is where people think they might be confused or rushed if they don't know crap about ME. You could read conviction but only serious fans IMO would read it.

I hated it. The wonder at what bioware is going to do is quickly destroyed and revealed to be an illusion. The death was... Just horrible in its execution.

I'm still clinging to the hope that it'll be a flashback after Shep leaves Earth. *cling*

Yeah... it only reasures me that EA/BioWare decided to make their marketing for those games as confusing as possible... and then make a tradition out of it.

On one side you get the information that the game will start with a trial... now this is exactly the same situation as the "ENEMIES OF MASS EFFECT 2" situation, where they hyped Legion out of proportion, said that he will stalk Shepard and that he will be actually important to the whole story, and then decided to scrap the whole part (AFTER they already announced it and made people expect it). Now they change it. It's pretty silly, but this time they at least told everyone...

Big part of people who played Mass Effect 2 doesn't even know that the whole begining was supposed to look hellofa different and involve both Liara and Legion, but was last-minute scraped.

In previous threads including I about this subject it has been suggested. The flashback could occur immediately after the Normandy leaves Earth and the Flashback is interactive.

Well they dont want shooter fans who dont like the series to be bored now. Why put in some boring old dialogue when you could just explosions...shoots...BOOM

Straight up. I will NEVER buy another Bioware game again if the dialogue in this game is the way it is in the demo. Nonexistent and automatic.

You'll get an e-mail telling you what happened and your private secretary will ask if everything is right. I'd laugh so hard.

Why is it disappointing? Most probably it was tried over and over but out just didn't flow. So it was canned. People are stressing too much over half known details when its the entirety of the game that you should worry. It will be great overalll, im sure.

I'm dissapointed because it would have made nice conflict at the start. Humanity's war criminal, becomes their only hope. Ah well, that's not everything, but I'd would have loved trying to defend my viewpoint to the authorities. :)

"I'd stake my life on it". Im pretty sure sense it was a demo they had to dumb it down.

Now you are doing exactly the same thing we all did when Dragon Age 2 demo showed up... sorry mate... it's the sad, sick world of cynism you will fall into shorty.

Hm, do you remember if they said it have been removed from the demo or the whole game?
I was looking forward to see it.

The opening without something like a trial the recaps things before the demo portion of the intro, would make the game's beginning feel very rushed and disjointed.

The big nuke of disappointment is going to land directly on your house and leave a devastating crate of pain, anger and nerd rage

But the most devastating effect of this is the radiation of pessimism and cynicism that will span among many generations.

Hopefully Shepard has some kind of flashback to trial, which fades to the boy playing with the toy cruiser while Shepard is in the window.

If there's no "just be sure to show up in your dress blues" moment where I get to defend myself I'll be disappointed.

I always thought the normandy's destruction should've happened at the end of ME1. Would've made for better anticipation for what was going to happen in ME2.

I'm dissapointed, but it's no dealbreaker.

Here is where I would fly in nerd rage: If the game had some riddicilous timer, and because of it you couldn't do all the side missions and get the best ending. THAT would eat me up.

LOL. I got better things to be dissapointed about. I'll just have to suck it up if its not in.

Like I said in another thread, everyone who hadn't played Arrival and read Conviction would feel confused without a trial. I really hope there's still one. I can't help but wonder if it could have been scrapped just to clear more room for the multiplayer.
