optimist- Also if bioware make mass effect 3 in direct X 9 is laways a great game, full of twists, the actors that cast the charapters are very good. I can't wait for the full game!. And I remeber in this chapter we are versus the reaper and many new enemy!.
So ME3 Optimist or Pessimist, Which are you and Why?

I'm optimistic, looking forward to this game, best $80 spent....even if it has combat roll. YES! I will continue to complain about this

All the examples of the dialogue in this game make me somewhat of a pessimist.
It also doesn't help I have a friend who read the leaked script and voices his displeasure of it every time the topic comes up lol. Conversation always ends with:
Me - "I said don't tell me anything"
Him - "OK, but It was bad, just sayin"

Pessimist. Really enjoyed what they've done with the combat, but seriously concerned by the apparent lack of dialogue options.

Optimist. I can't play the demo yet (I'm a PC player) but I saw ME3 trailers and I liked them. Especially that FemShep trailer!!! I love it! Also I saw Jacob there, so he will be in ME3 too! I'm happy!

Moderate pessimistic ... My favorite squads are no more, interesting organizations are gone, there is less RPG and plot holes. Btw, it is more enjoyable than Mario and Sonic.

Optimist. Bioware has done wonders so far. Can't wait for full game.
Pump your brakes son, are we talking about Bioware as a whole? Or the Edmonton studio? Because gamers will never forget the unspeakable DA2 cruelty.

I really don't like it when people here use DA2 a benchmark for low quality, a lot of us actually enjoyed the game.
And I'm definitely an optimist, Mass Effect 2 is my favorite game of all time, and I'm sure Bioware did a great job.
Well you may have enjoyed it, and that's your right, but the majority of players didn't. I've been all over the web seeing an overwhelming amount of anti DA2 hate. The user metacritic scores are horrible. Whenever reading articles on GI or IGN about bad games, jokes about how DA2 did worse are always present. It was low quality for a Bioware title, and that's why people are/were negative about it. But I don't want to further derail the thread. Feel free to pm me if you wish to discuss it further.

Kind of optimistic realist. ME3 won't be all it could be, I'm reasonably sure there will be problems story wise, or perhaps a few lame twists and some other minor annoyances, but ME2 was full of those as well, and ME1, yet I enjoyed those two games immensely.
If I take those two games apart there's quite a few things to complain about, both combat wise and story/character wise, but when everything comes together it pulls me in regardless and I tend to forget about all the gripes I have with it and just enjoy it, get carried away with it and end up loving the time I spent with it.
I have not seen any reason why I would enjoy ME3 any less. In fact maybe even the opposite, combat looks to be better than in both ME1 and 2 and I'll be able to continue the story with characters I've grown a bit of a bond with during the last game/games.

Optimistic realist. I've seen negative signs (such as trumping Emily Wong for Snooki 2.0) and positive ones (such as the recently released demo [clips on YouTube]). I'm satisfied with the squad, which hopefully means that BioWare has focused more on the story of ME3 and not irrelevant fetch quests.

Very optimistic.
Everybody's whining too much. I know it will be a great game. I just know it.

Pretty optimistic. I see some potential flaws and I'm hoping against all odds for High Res textures and hotkeys for PC but overall I think it will be a great ME experience like the previous games. I'm hoping/expecting a nice balance between the two.

Optimist! I loved the combat, especially after I got the cover system down.

The combat I'm optimistic about. The story I'm worried...it seems that 50% of what Shepard says is out of our control.

I'm a very leery optimist. The main plot of ME has never been it's strength, atmosphere, lore, and characters have been. But now they got to wrap it all up and I'm wondering how they'll resolve it. Combat looks solid though, and they added in more RPG features. Its the story that nags on me...

Half/Half
The gameplay looks decent enough, as does the war story feeling, but I definitely do NOT like the way a handful of the ME2 characters are being treated (See: My avatar and signature).

I am an optimist... although I do have to say that Dragon Age 2 has shaken my faith, greatly, and I didn't like Mass Effect 2's story at all compared to ME1... ME3 looks like its regaining its epic scope form ME1 but retaining the superior storytelling from ME2 (And specifically, Lair of the Shadow Broker, we can hope).

Optimist. DA2 wasn't that bad so I don't see why it gets such overwhelming hate and why people bring it up as a reason they're worried about ME3.

Since I enjoy everything from hardcore RPG games to shooters I don't really see how this game could disappoint me. So I guess I'm going to walk over to the optimist-camp.
I am also one of the (few?) people who think multiplayer can be interesting and a welcome diversion. The shooter mechanics seem solid after all. And I want to be KROOOOOOGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
