Can't I be a realist?
You can be whatever you want, son.
I want to be a dragon.
I wanna be the guy.

- a main squad I don't particularly like
- the wax doll syndrome
- the apparently reduced dialogue options as per the demo (I know there may be more in the full game but still)
- the poor facial animations
- the godawful action crowd marketing

Explain? I'm honestly curious and have no idea what you're talking aboutJL81 wrote...

Optimist. Only concern is that the game will feel short. Cannot have enough Mass Effect
I am scared that I am going to fly though it. I want to take my time on this one. I have been waiting 4 years for it afterall. The good thing is they have the galactic readiness element which will encourage the player to take their time and not rush through the game if they want to get the best endings.

I can at least take pride that ME3 couldn't possibly be worse than Sonic Chronicles.

Pessimistic and Optimisitic While Bioware hasn't let me down since an unspeakable game(no its not DA2) I'm rather worried. There have been some rather nice features added and amazing features that were snipped out at the last minute. But this seems to be the standard for Bio games now days. Boast about some amazing feature, snip it out in the final months of development.

Similar. I expect greatness but also lots of logic and continuity errors for the sake of cheap coolness.

Yep. It is a Bioware game, after all.

I would have agreed with you normally, DA2 was a fiasco, but I am optimistic about ME3 for that very reason, while DA2 did make it's sales figures it still got slammed by the critics, I don't think Bioware would be looking to run that gauntlet again.Ivandra Ceruden wrote...
I'm a pessimist, especially knowing what happened to Dragon Age 2...And YES I know that Mass Effect has a different development team...But still.

-Multiplayer shoehorned in to sell Online Passes, which makes it very possible it'll be implemented in such a way to force multiplayer to beat the game. Because otherwise, it doesn't force people to buy Online Passes.
-Action mode, a mode where all of the RPG elements are removed from an RPG. This has alot of potential to make it an extremely weak RPG, because the focus changes when you do something like this.
-Dragon Age 2. Not only the game, but the Developers blaming gamers for the game's problems, instead of taking responsibility for making a bad game. It was everybodies fault by theirs for the problems it had.
-Then they started posting about more "Streamlining" of the dialogue wheel, essentially making it pointless.
-Christina Norman. Demonstrated time and again that she doesn't have any idea what RPG's are, and would rather be making FPS's. It was extremely obvious that she had little interest in RPG's.
-Then there's the Bioware writer that reportedly doesn't like video games.
In honesty, I'm seeing alot of potential for a trainwreck here, and the dialogue in the demo is reinforcing my fears.

Once again I have to point out to people like you that Dragon Age and Mass Effect are different franchises!! And don't give me this "they were both made by bioware" crap either. They each had different development teams and were working with different time tables.

Pleasantly surprised, anyway.
