Why does this make you love to hate her?Corvus Metus wrote...
Miranda.
Her entire character is basically "my rich father made me awesome, doesn't my life suck".
Because, as much as I dislike her, I feel she's also the most important squadmate in ME2. Withouut her, I don't think the story would be as enjoyable.

I can't bloody stand her!
It's like the old joke about Liara: "this game seems to think I like you more than I do." Well with Aria it was more like: "this game seems to think I respect you more than I do."
That said though I think the game on the whole would be worse without her.

You see originally I felt that way but then I started thinking it was nice to have another character who isn't impressed or intimidated by Shepard. Someone that Shepard can't intimidate or persuade, who he can't do anything but politely grovel before. Keeps Shepard a little humble in my opinion.

If you choose to look at it that way, I guess...
Then again, people don't often look past first impressions.

I suppose you can look at her that way. I look at her as saying, "I have a great many talents, but I did nothing to earn them. I don't let people know about it but I am romantically interested in you so you should know. If you aren't interested, stay focused on the job."
I also want the Illusive Man in it, so I can meet him in person and put a bullet in his head.

If Miranda weren't sexed up and dressed like a hooker she'd be easier to take seriously. Her backstory touches on some nice themes. Too bad they aren't really explored.

Aria's a three-bit Terminus warlord, I respect her more than I respect the Council, but that's about it. If she would actually take the reigns and become an htg Queen I'd have hella respect for her. But as long as she keeps playing these little gangster games I can't see why I should look at her as anything more.Saphra Deden wrote...

Though most all the squad members often have valuable input, Admiral's Hackett and Anderson, along with TIM are the only people in my book who are worthy of actually outright deferring to.

No one should wear heels combat

This. That's why I use her AAP armor during combat scenarios, and swap between her other suits while aboard the Normandy. The boots from the armor are much more practical.
On her looking like "a hooker"... Catwoman, Black Cat, Black Widow, and countless other femme fatale characters wear the same style of body suit, so why pick on Miranda? Maybe I'm just biased because she is my favorite character, but that seems like an incredibly petty reason to dislike someone. I like her for her personality and backstory, and her romance is one of the few that feels genuine (depending on how you play your Shepard). Of course, her attractiveness is a plus, but it isn't the best thing about her.

I love to hate T.I.M [ since i realized what a great job he does at Manipulating Shep]
Kelly: she lies to my shep on a regular basis [ " comander, you have unread messages on your private termanil" *runs to check e-mail, finds nothing* " you lie!"]
Udina: i always clap and cheer when Anderson punches him.

Agreed completely. I wouldn't mind her standard outfits if they just dropped the high heels. They'd be so much more acceptable then.
That said, am I crazy, or is Miranda prettier in the AA outfit? Maybe the colors just go with her hair and eyes better.

I also always use the armor. This actually bothers me with a lot of characters in me2. While I understand giving a distinctive look some effort could have neen made into being realistic (for future space combat)

The buckethead. I enjoy when Shepard refuses to give it the geth data, sometimes he let cerberus take Vitor, started a romance just for the renegade dump, always side with Legion.
I'm eagger to see it **snip**
Wait, <Insert character here> commits <Action here> in ME3? When?

I don't like how empty the ship feels if you don't immediately rescue the crew
