While everyone's complaining about the bishoujo statues,I just saw this in the BBTS description box for the statue.

Don’t miss out on this galactic defender and watch out for the upcoming ARTFX Commander Shepard!

A Shepard ARTFX statue?Daaaaang!

Let's see some ARTFX released by Kotobukiya on Toy Fair 2012:

If Shepard turn out to be as good as the Batman one, take my money!

But people like to rage right? So here are some other Bishoujos announced in Toy Fair 2012:

I could actually care less about most of those. Been there, rolled eyes at that.

The Liara one wasn't too bad once they de-boobified her, even if her spine still looked like someone took a steam roller to it. And Bioware's certainly had to have learned from that experience. Right?

...right?

......right?

How will the Bishoujo sculptors accurately portray N7 armor AND make beach ball sized breasts that don't appear attached to FemShep's spindly body, and will making her look like the default FemShep get in the way of giving her the prerequisite anime baby head???

This concerns me.

Good Job ME3 Armour is a bulky and it not the old N7 Onyx  :P

Still expect exaggerated proportions regardless because she is female.  If they could do what the male pics above do then awesome!!

FemShep - a character who has been praised for the fact that she isn't over-sexualised.

Bishoujo - something that thrives on sexualising.

I don't quite understand why the decision was made to put these two things together. >.>

Female Shepard does look sexy, but the momment she opens her mouth, the feeling is gone. So I guess Jennifer Hale is doing her job well after all. :P

You can find someone sexy without that person being over-sexualised. The voice is irrelevant since it's not going to be a talking figure.

To be totaly honest and serious for a bit.

I don't care if they overly sexualize characters or not. It usualy never bothers me... only time it does is when they put a character in their underwear to blizzard. But then again, it bothers me even when Mass Effect characters go to deep space with mouth-covering masks on.

So I'm fine either way.

And she not talking as figure, is a plus for me. ;)

That statue would be hilarious to have on display. When someone visits you, they'd always stare at it for awhile. Would be interesting to see their reactions!

lol! I would feel the need to explain to them that to stare at a Krogan proudly displaying his quad is a sign of courtship and interest in breeding. If you look away now - they might have to kill you.

Sexualising some characters is fine, in my eyes. As long as that is in character. I just can't imagine FemShep in a provocative pose, looking all doe-eyed. She's a soldier through and through. If a figure was made of her that reflected that, I'd be the first to pre-order.

I'd totaly made a statue of her in damaged armor, her stripping it away, as it would just slow her down... revealing bit of skin in the process... BAZINGA! :o

If it's directed at the Japanese race it is unwarranted. If it's their culture however (specifically it's views on women) any disdain towards it is justified. Their views and depiction of women in most forms of entertainment is disgusting.

then you don't understand Japanese culture, they don't "lower women", the Japanese highly respect women in their societies since the mother is the "foundation of all families" . . . all societies "objectify" women . . . the only Japanese culture we know of in the West is typically male-oriented (anime, video games, porn) but that isn't ALL of Japanese culture, ppl have a very biased and mostly un-informed view of the Japanese
