sexism might not "disappear" overnight but it does improve, i never said that sexism doesn't exist in Japan, I said ppl need to stop have biased, bigoted (and possibly racist) views on the Japanese

I was "fueling" debate and convorsation, I'm not a boogie man out to destroy the Japanese culture..

This is why I'm glad I'm white and in the US, because I can talk about all the atrocities that Whites have perpetrated, that we're the moral majority but the numbered minority within the world just because we backstabbed our way to the top, and not have a thousand people call me a racist or a bigot..

Most cultures are screwed up in a multitude of ways, I was just pointing out that Japan is behind in the western world when it comes to sexism. I'm not saying the rest of the western world isn't sexist either.. Until women make the same as men for the same job, it's an obvious problem. And no, Japan isn't a high risk offender when it comes to women's issues, I'd say Africa and the Middle East are the big risks there..

Bottom line is though, culturism, patriotism and nationalism are some of my most hated sociological mechanics. Just because a person is born of a race, in a specific country doesn't mean they should agree with everything within that country in lockstep, or even defend it.  I despise a lot about America right now, even though I was born and raised here and told to be a "good little American" and agree with my government and authority figures.  Flag waving does nothing but create more divides and blinds people to the problems that really exist.

On Topic, I don't really care what people spend their 60 dollars on. If it's a wide eyed/sexualised plastic femshep statue, eh, whatever I guess.. 
Though I will say the dark phoenix by Kotobukiya is kinda cool..

first of all, i am not defending "Japanese sexism" . . . i was just arguing ppl's bigoted views on the Japanese, i have never posted anything saying that the Japanese or Asians were superior, i'm just standing up for my ppl so that others who read these threads don't walk away with a single view on the Japanese/Asians based off of one persons post

and I am offended that ppl who aren't even Asian dare to say they know more about Asian/Japanese culture than someone who actually lives it, who has actually not only visited Japan but lived in Japan, who doesn't just has "Asian friends" but is an actually living Asian

I never said you were defending japanses sexism, I was implying that a knee jerk defense of an entire culture because someone made a comment about the Japanese being sexist is extreme.  If somebody is so stupid as to actually believe 90% of the posters on here and form opinions based on their input, then science help them, so I wouldn't worry about people walking away a bigot..

And I don't recall anyone saying they know "more" than you about asian/japanese culture.  Personally I was just displaying some statistics in an attempt to quell the flag waving, foot stomping that so many people all over the world instantly apply to any conversation that begins to lean against an aspect of their culture or country..

It's kind of shameful that the very second character they've decided to Bishojou up is going to be the most prominent female icon of the franchise. That Male Shepard gets two actual proper action figures (one made by play arts) but the first and possibly only iteration FemShep will get is a sexualized statue.
I mean talk about polar opposite gender politics.
That said, maybe after the sh*tstorm that happened last like Kotobukya have actually learned their lesson. You never know, the FemShep statue could look pretty without also looking like jailbait. She could also still retain some level of strength in her pose and posture. Though I admit this is highly unlikely.
