Unfortunately my spring break happens the week AFTER ME3 is released, but I think I'll manage.

My school is gaming related anyway so playing Mass Effect 3 is good study material for a fledgling game designer.

Really? Didn't know you were into game designing as well. Not to take it off topic, but what field are you going into?
As for me, my classes are on mondays and wednesdays. I might have to skip wednesday. Don't know though :P But tuesday definitely isn't enough time to play it.

I should have some comp time to use so I'm going to make up something believeable and put in my request.  I might not take the whole day, but probably the afternoon so I only have to be functional for 3.5 hours since I'm going to get my CE at midnight.

The good thing about living in Europe is that it comes the 9th over here.

That means I get my copy on friday. Friday I don't have any classes so that means I can stay at home and play ME3 all day long. Same goes for saturday and sunday.

friday-saturday-sunday, tree days of non-stop Mass Effect!

The program seems to be about game design in general so I haven't been focusing on anything specific.

Haha same here! I also study game-design.

I tell you what, at my university it's even worse. When Skyrim was released, my game-design teacher took the day off to play Skyrim non-stop. He was supposed to give us a lecture on game-mechanics that day, but he e-mailed us, saying that he prefers playing Skyrim over teaching us, with an evil smiley-face, like this:

Next week, when we say our game-design teacher, he changed the subject of his lecture from 'game-mechanics' to 'narrative in roleplaying games'. LOL!

You guys are fortunate to be able to have schools. Everything I know I had to teach myself through trial and error, and lots of DVD's. :P Good luck in whatever field you end up choosing.

Haha! Using video games to come up with lesson plans? Priceless.

I'm booking a day or two off. And if there's a midnight launch, I intend to play from the minute I get home till about an hour before I go into work. Come home 9 hours later, take a nap if needbe, then back to Mass Effect 3.

No I think you might want to play it safe, the fever will probably last 2-3 days, not 1. Don't want to get your co workers infected.  ;)

Filled in my vacation form with HR! Taking two days off! Thankfully I've still got enough vacation days this year for some proper trips  :)
