So my friend has decided to finish a new playthrough with my copy of Mass Effect 2, seeing as he traded his in back in 2010, and wanted to buy and play the DLC before Mass Effect 3 comes out. However he must have deleted Cerberus Network from his console at some point because he can no longer access it. Is there a way for him to re-download it?

Note: It does not show up in the Xbox 360 Download/Purchase History.

I've bought and started playing ME2 just a few weeks ago, and I successfully downloaded the DLC pack from Cerberus Network providing the code I found in the game box. Thus Cerberus Network still works.
You should be able to access CN by pressing the Y button in ME2 main menu, doesn't that work?

No it wants him to purchase it. Unfortunately when you activate it, Xbox Live doesn't register that you own it and doesn't make it free for you. You would have to shell out 1200 points.

That sounds like a pickle.

The first thing to clarify is whose Gamertag did he originally play the game under before he traded the game in?

Secondly, whose Gamertag did he use when he went back to the game?

Other things to consider; he used your copy of the game but whose console?

The Cerberus Network dlc should be in the download history associated with the Gamertag it was redeemed to. If it was amongst the first things downloaded then it will take a lot of browsing as the history is in reverse chronological order (newest download first). XBox Live does not recognise the redeemed dlcs because they were not purchased; it's a distinction that applies to any code redeemable content on the 360 but it should be in the download history of the Gamertag.

If the dlc truly isn't in his download history I suspect that he is out of luck. Because he can't prove he had bought the game and downloaded it, and I doubt EA support would be willing to help; though I suspect it would be Microsoft he'd need to contact rather than EA support given the apparent non-registration of redeemed content in the download history of the Gamertag.

Check the other things first though.
