Of course for some reason (from what I can gather) Sheps imported from ME1 don't get a face code, which makes me sad because I really wanted to fix a few issues with my Shep's face that weren't terrible.

You can actually manually generate an ME2 facecode from an ME1 Shepard. It's not straightforward, and will take you about half an hour or so, but there is a guide here:

Did you import your Shepard from ME1? Or is this New Game+ (new game with an import from ME2)? I find that the face code will not appear under those circumstances.savaged49 wrote...

Use a USB stick to put ur save on PC. Open the save of your Shepard with Gibbed, go to the Raw tab then click the [+] beside Player, and scroll down to the bottom and your face code should be there.

Checked that, couldn't see anything to do with face codes there on mine.

In other words, the upshot is that you probably wouldn't see the code in the save game file if it doesn't appear in the game. If you want to get the code from an ME2 save game file where it doesn't already appear in-game, I guess you would have to somehow reconstruct a code from the face-morph data, but I have no idea if that's possible since I haven't played around with that part of Gibbed.
