An all warrior party has to be the weakest party composition, but I really like the idea of a team of knights/classic swordsmen fighting with sword and strength.  Can this be done and how would you do it?  What talents, stats, and tactics would you use?

Replying to my own post, but I want to give my idea separate from the original post. I was considering having a party of all templars, because without a mage or being able to stealth kill a mage, mages seem to be the biggest threat. Now I know Templars are weak, but if you dropped 4 Holy Smites then mages should be no problem.

Maybe if each warrior had warcry+holysmite and could just chain CC everything it might work although you'd have to use a lot of health poultices and they wouldn't be very effective either.

Eh, single mages aren't that much of a worry. My tank was my primary mage-killer in my first run through. Just charged at any mages and sword-pommeled them to the ground. They died very shortly thereafter.

Multi-mage battles might be a bit tricky though. But ... you should have lots of warriors all with some kind of stun, so it could work.

I made an all warrior party of Sten, Allister, and Ohgren. I ignored the talents they came with and have them all fairly far along in the dual wielding tree, also had them all spec berserker. So 4 warriors, massive armor, 2 full size weapons, berserk, momentum, and 1 rank of poison making so they can coat their weapon before tough battles.

I hit up the dwarves first so I could get Ohg before the game auto-leveled too many of his talents into two-handed mastery. The Broodmother was a tough fight requiring quite a few potions since I was still trying to build them up. But since then I've accomplished all 3 treaties quests and did the grey warden tower, and am currently in the middle of the redcliffe quest. And we've been slaughtering everything in our way since getting the dwarf quest out of the way.

Best way to go about it would be to setup 1 tank with sword and shield, 1 2her for stuns and interrupts, and 2 DW warriors for pure dps AND so they could switch to archery for the boss fights where you need it.

First War:

Sword and Shield: Take all of the shield talents, get taunt from warrior lines, and spec him into templar and champion. He wears Massive Armor. and puts 3 defensive runes on his weapon. This will be Alister.

Second War:

2her: Spec him fully into 2her to allow him access to all of the stuns and knockdowns. He doesn't really need any of the war talents, although taunt could be useful in a last resort kinda thing. He should also spec Templar and Champion. Wears Heavy Armor. Drakes Dragonscale would be good. Your PC character since the other 2 wars in the game can not spec this way. Also this character needs to put slows and paralyze into their rune slots.

3rd and 4th War:

Spec them into DW talents, all of the 4th tier talents are worthwhile. Pump Dex and Str equally so they can equip the highest level swords as well as bows since you will need their tanged skills for some bosses like broodmother. At any rate, i would spec Berserker for both of them. Both characters here need to take all damage rune slots for both weapons. Oghren and Sten here, Oghren can take an additional spec, and you can give him anything you would like, although i would stay away from reaver since it will hard enough to keep your characters alive as is.
